guys getting 24+, good job...

best i've done was 28.5 ish on a 500 mile hwy drive

NCSUPACK09 04-23-2010 03:37 PM

Here are my findings so far:
City:
Aggressive: 13-17 MPG
Conservative: 19-20 MPG
Highway:
55-60: 30 MPG
60-65: 28.5 MPG
65-70: 27 MPG
70-75: 26 MPG
75+: Below 26 MPG highway rating

I drive about 66% highway - 33% city and usually get 21.5-22.5 MPG

Forrest 04-23-2010 08:27 PM

20mpg with mostly city and some highway every now and again.

370Z JT 04-25-2010 09:13 PM

first time fillup:16.6MPG
2nd time fillup:18.8MPG

Hoping for 20MPG on the next fill.

Those Aussie gas prices are insane! I pay $2.75/gal of 93 octane Shell V-Power (with nitrogen), or Texaco with Techron.

Crazy8 04-27-2010 02:35 PM

I average 23mpg's

Push370zzz 04-27-2010 03:06 PM

I can easily get 20mpg in the city, but unfortunately I find myself pressing the gas pretty hard after just a few miles of that...so I'm actually getting about 14-16mpg. My Range Rover consistently gets about 11mpg. Kind of sucks, the Altima could do nearly 30 in the city but was such a bore!

Roy 04-29-2010 10:55 PM

Using Gas Cubby app as well...

I'm averaging 17.93 mpg. High of 25.44 (highway, but I was moving and had a lot of stuff in the car, so I think it could have been better). Low of 14.19 mpg.

I have a 20 mile (one way) commute and 6 miles of it is on the interstate, the other 14 is the most maddening stop/go city driving ever...

Drive safe, y'all!

chiliwili 04-29-2010 11:25 PM

the computer is saying 15L / 100km for me... mixture of peak hour and motorway driving in Sydney. Car is still new though, only around 1500km on it, so hopefully the economy improves later.

370Zsteve 04-29-2010 11:31 PM

Around town about 14-18 mpg depending on my right foot

On the highway steady cruise on flat Long Island the other day at 65mph netted me 25 mpg I can live with that

Lemers 04-29-2010 11:36 PM

I'm using the car's computer and over 3100 miles I have 21.6 mpg and 29 mph. I drive to and from workout and then to and from work Monday thru Friday.

I have 03 Acura CL-S and my Z gives better in fuel I think. Its mystery :p

370z fuel mileage

Well there folks, Iv'e said it before and now I can say it again, my touring coupe with over 11000 miles on the clock still gives 28 to 30+ mpg on a consistent basis. This is based on a 250 mile circuit on country roads, through small towns and some in city driving combined with about 70 miles of interstate on the return home. The above is done on a weekly basis and nothing changes.

I prefer the hilly and winding country roads here in Pennsylvania and try to stay away from interstate travel as much as possible but sometimes it is necessary

I use 5/30 synthetic oil and keep my tire pressures at 35 psi, I have never experienced oil temperatures in excess of 220 degrees even in 90 degree heat, so much for the overheating issue. After the first oil change I removed the troublesome bottom plastic engine cover and stored it away.

That's my story and I'm sticking to it!

QUOTE=rmhockman;394211]I have a 370Z touring coupe (6 speed, no sport package) and have accumulated approx. 9000 miles since I first took delivery in June of 2009.

Amazingly my machine gives me up to 30 mpg on a consistent basis, this includes both in town, highway and interstate driving.

I have been using Castrol Syntec full synthetic oil and sometimes use mid grade gas with no apparent side effects.

Needless to say this car is amazing to drive, a little road noise perhaps but a joy to cruise the mountains of Pennsylvania.

Buddy you must have one of those flux capacitors or something. You know the last guy that invented a device that gave him a "witnessed" 112 mpg ended up dead in the desert. They might just steal your lunch money.

lol, 30+ mpg is def doable if you cruise control at about 90kph on flat roads...

Zsteve 05-06-2010 11:18 PM

for those getting 30 combined you should notify Nissan so they can change their window stickers. I would have to see it to beleive it, would be nice if true. Sure you guys didnt have your engines swapped out for a 4 cyl?

No way would it be a combined figure but for highways definately doable

The official highway test figure for Australia per a government website is 7.8L/100km... that's 30ish mpg...

no doubt and that is crusing too Im sure. I think some people need to push their Z some and open her up.

jtown82 05-07-2010 12:14 AM

i have done numerous 29-31mpg drives of over 200 miles. repeatedly i might add. with city driving mixed in had an ave speed of like 62.

370z fuel mileage Touring 6 speed less sport package

Hey, I couldn't believe this machine was capable of such great mileage but numbers don't lie, not the computer readout which is quite accurate, but fill-up to fill-up calculations.

I guess it all depends on how you drive it!
