Man, these Z's are Awesome!!!

I have driven many different cars in my life. Drove professionally for BMW and Mercedes, owned a Ferrari, 3 Porsches and many more, BUT, I still can't believe how incredible this Z is!!!

I'm almost done with my break-in period, and haven't even gotten to really feel the full experience of the Z, but man I love this car!!

Anyone who's thinking of getting one, IMO you definitely won't regret it. By far my favorite car to date (owned about 30+ in my life)

I'm stoked!!!

Almost perfect.
Handling... amazing. Rivals the Porsche Cayman (I almost prefer it to the Cayman, which feels a bit light in the front end)
Power... love the low end torque
Engine sound... very sweet
and one of the nicest lines of any car I know
My ONLY negative comment is the side view mirrors, too large which abstuct visability

My Rating...5 stars with an exclamation point!

Just thought I'd share my enthusiasm

I feel the same way everyday, but I couldn't keep the stock cats on there, test pipes did wonders on the sound

I'm impressed to hear this from someone who has had the car history that you hold. All these magazine editors just drive each car for a day or less and then review them like they own them.

Coming from a man who has had Ferraris, Porsches, etc etc; I certainly value the review. I know I've been nothing but in love with my car since I got it last March. My wife is even jealous of my 'mistress' sometimes (I may even spend more on the car than her!...that ain't right).

I'm with you, Bubba! I'm at 1700 miles now, so let me just say that when you hit 1200 and finally open this thing up, you are going to be grinning ear-to-ear! :driving:

ferrari_rich 02-08-2010 07:09 PM

PS and it doesn't cost more than the average house!!! Like some other great cars

1,168 miles now. Maybe tomorrow I'll get to 1,200, and I can feel it's true performance. I may not get much sleep tonight LOL

I love My Z too :)

And I Agree with the side mirrors (but can't imagine backing up without them with the blind spot)

I also wish the homelink buttons lit up on my rear view mirror like the ones on my H2 do. I need to push them to open the gate to my property as well as my garage and I usually hit the wrong button everytime. (I also wonder sometimes why the unlock button doesn't light up like the lock button does. Or maybe I just have a bad light in that one?)

Your enthusiasm is evident, Rich! :)

4475 miles now :)

Statistically insignificant difference. Drop the hammer!

I got on mine a bit today with my CBE and HFCs. Still sporting the winter tires which really limit things, but the girl can really fly with these mods.

I programmed my primary garage to the button in the middle of the mirror (homelink #3). That way I know the button is always to the right of the green light. Helps a bit, but I still wish they were each illuminated too.

Great post, nice to see someone with such a background show such appreciation for the Z.

Hey, that's an idea. I actually use all 3 buttons though, so I still can't figure out why they wouldn't illuminate the dang things!

Yeh, I know, but I'm a stickler about numbers!

Roads are clear now, snow due on Tues eve.

So....tomorrow I'll drop the hammer as you said

ferrari_rich, I am so glad to read your opinion on the Z! Your experience over the years with all those awesome cars you mentioned just makes me truly understand, that what I purchased this past weekend is a very special, special automobile! I can't wait to get to that 1200 mile marker and experience her full potential! I tasted a little of the beast this afternoon when accidentally got her rev'd up above 5k!!!!!!!
