Wheels on Z sold in Vietnam

The Zs sold in vietnam have different wheels than in the US. I think they look sportier than the US version.

My friend said the title of the site says, "First 370z arrives in Vietnam"

Those are pics of an American Z (even the floor mat covers are in English) with aftermarket Volks wheels.

I note a great irony here. This is not a political website so I'm not making a political comment. I'm just noting the irony of all those young men on both sides of the war in Vietnam, who fought and died over an effort to impose the glories of Marxism on South Vietnam. They essentially won that war and now the Vietnamese people are living like all of us decedent capitalists, buying iPods and zooming around in Z's. Old "Ho Ho Ho Chi Minh" must be turning over in his grave. This is just an amazing thing to think about---and a nice looking car too. My apology if my post has violated a rule or the etiquette of this board. Just couldn't pass it up without noting it.

That is called the Cycle of Life, look at Japan and Germany producing some of the best cars in the world now. Japan is number one in technology in the world, so every country will have their turn around for the good of the people. :twocents:

I don't think many people will be able to afford the Z over there. Also, if they could afford it there wouldn't be much road to use it on.

Have you been to vietnam? I have.

people pay cash for cars over there. Cars cost 3-4 times over there than here. A Z costs about $110,000 USD. that's right, not a typo, and people pay cash for it.

I see more Lamborghinis, Ferraris, Rolls Royces, and Mercedes than i see in the US. The rich is filthy rich. The poor earns $2 / day.

As I said, so much for the glorious "Peoples' Crusade" that brought a Marxist Utopia to Vietnam. The more I see of history as it's made, the more I just shake my head in bewilderment. I'm just going to enjoy my Z and quit trying to understand...

That's because the rich are either communist or corrupt or both. This is a country where the government takes what it wants from its citizens and there's not a damn thing they can do about it.

But to stay on topic, it's worthless to have a car over there. It's just to show off. There's too much traffic in large cities and outside of that, the streets are horrible. How do I know? I'm Vietnamese.
