oil changes

I changed the oil in my 370z in 2021 with Valvoline 5w30 full synthetic. Only about 1500-2000 miles since then. Should I change it again here in 2024?

Yes.

Change oil annually if the mileage is low

filip00 04-17-2024 10:45 AM

Yes, you should. If you do really low mileage (sub 1000 miles), then 2 years are acceptable, but usually it's best to change oil every year or 6000miles, whatever comesfirst.

Oil Changes are overrated!

So is common sense.

Send your oil to Blackstone labs, they'll tell you when to change.

I've had 2 year old oil and they said no reason to dump it based upon their tests noting it still had plenty of wear protection and not enough contaminants to warrant changing.

For what an oil and a filter cost I just do it every year before I put it away in storage.
