daytime running light issue after shop repair

Hi everybody. Well after 2 months, I finally got my Black Cherry Z back from the body shop after being hit and having the nose torn off.... The bodywork and paint looks really good but.... My daytime running lights are not working most of the time... I am getting older and do not remember the exact way they do work... So please help.. Question.... Are they on always during the day headlights on or off? Are they only on when put into drive? Are they also still on at night when the lights are turned on? I need to go back but to the shop for several quality related issues but do not want to be lied to with bad information. Now also only have one horn working sounding like a Volkswagen and the headlight that was replaced is totally out of alignment. Windshield Washer not working either. Well............. At least the car looks like new!!! Anyways I would appreciate a response form you any of you Z experts!!! Thanks a lot and... Happy New Year. :tiphat:

On during the day with headlights off.

For A7, when initially starting the car, the DRL will turn on once you put into drive and if the headlights are off. If you drive and put into park but leave the car on, they should still be on. They will stay on until you turn the car off.

If the headlights are on, the DRL will turn off, A7 or M6 and regardless of gear.

Thanks for the info guys.............. Note to all.. Found out its not putting the car into drive that turns the DRLs on but releasing the hand brake (head lights off). At least on my 2016 that is. And... It does work so problem after all....
