Experienced shops for our Z in the NJ area/inspecting used nismo?
Purchasing a 2016 nismo with 31k on her. 1 owner from California from Carvana. I’m making the jump from my 2013 sport. Taking the car to a nissan dealership for inspection. But I’m also considering a second opinion from a shop that may have a different perspective.

Not sure exactly what you're expecting them to be looking at. Any half decent shop should be able to notice any problems areas. Its not like it's an odd electric or unusually designed car.

Yea your actually right, honestly i was just looking for someone who has experience with our Z so in the future I can bring it to them for something I can’t fix instead of getting ****** by the dealership prices.
-where in NJ would you recommend I see your out here to! |
Where in NJ are you located?

With a california car, you're probably not getting rust, so thats good
The main thing is the clutch slave cylinder, but I don't think there's a way to detect if it's gone until . . . it's gone. I would ask for sure if it's been replaced, but really the only surefire protection is an upgraded one. Look for any wierd tire wear to indicate alignment (or if that dude's been doing burnouts) Leaks Blown bushings any replaced panels inside/out to indicate modification and/or repair due to unreported accidents I'm sure there's more but thats off the top of my head |
Like Option said, definitely find a way to look into the CSC. If you're not going to do it now, at least plan for the CSC mod ahead:
http://www.the370z.com/engine-drivet...-failures.html I'd probably recommend a fresh oil change, clutch fluid flush, and diff fluid flush as well. Have the rear diff bushings checked. |
