Is the nismo that bad or is it because of the sucky driver?

I believe that is Tsuchiya driving the leading car, so yes maybe it is the driver lol

well its just that the porshe is that much better in terms of handling

Yes, porshe is built from the ground up for the track, everyone of their models. I actually am proub the nismo did as well as it did, I'm sure if that same race was repeated a few more times, with the drivers switching cars, that the nismo could come on top one time.

I hate that they keep using the Nismo. The Z34 with Sports package was MUCH more competitive against the Porsches than the Nismo. The Nismo is just too heavy...

I agree the same company did a test with a base Z that had sport package vs caymen s I believe?? And the Z only lost because they caymen was more refined.

lets not kid ourselves, We wont be better than a Porsche. Maybe a panamera or their SUV, but thats about it. They are one step up from our 370z, and I'm not ashamed because well, they have a PORSCHE, and I have an Nissan!

Wow. So that extra suspension hardware and extra horsepower only gets you .026 faster; Super.

I am talking as far as on track performance. The Z w/Sport came from the back of the pack and finished just behind the CaymanS. Granted that was the 290 HP Cayman S. I bet the Nismo could not even do that as it was not in the back of the pack, but the front and got passed. I have no doubt in my mind that the Z with Sports package would have faired better in this race.

not too bad result considering the nismo is the least expensive of all the cars there.
