OP, it's your money, your decision. Go buy the Porsche. If you are like some first time Porsche owners. You will sell it the first time you have to do major maintenance service.

Yeah I get that those are the stereotypes, but sometimes they are wrong.

Lots of people buy cars they can't afford. That's the majority of short term Porsche owners.

Can afford to buy the car. But can't afford to do the service on it. :icon14:

Which is also true of a lot of luxury brand cars. I think the Z is an under appreciated platform for it’s overall reliability. And cue the csc comment in 3,2,1…

Ya, but you can fix the CSC issue by replacing with an HD CSC if it ever happens and it won't happen again.

With a Porsche, the repairs never stop flowing.

Still hoping that running Rbf600 on a late model Z from day 1 with frequent changes will remedy the issue.

Would rather a pre-992, they're way too big.

Yeh that’s the biggest knock I have against them too. The 991 isn’t much smaller though.

Now that looks very interesting! I had not considered it and hadn’t even heard of it. I’m about 200 miles from the closest dealership and I’d imagine if something went wrong with it I’d be dealing with a pretty nasty headache.

The manual transmission option will come with a supercharged toyota V6. Based on the UK pricing, you may be able to get one for under 100K USD.

I need the backseat.

abm89 07-22-2021 10:27 AM

I think if you're hell-bent on a back seat, the new IS500 F sport is a good one to look at.
