True. It may give them some extra head room if the OEM bucket is too high.

Another option is to just swap the bucket in before track days. I did keep my FIA seat for that reason.

yes my oem hit my head with helment

I can see the most important thing is the roll cage, Leaving oem steering wheel with air bag stay in C level or get a roll cage and Hans system to get in B, is that correct?

You realize that you will have to wear a helmet AT ALL TIMES in a caged car, right? Otherwise a fender bender may leave you even more brain damaged than you are right now. A caged car on the street is a retarded idea.

You should do NOTHING to the car's safety systems until you have a good deal of track experience. Stock seats, restraints and airbags. Your skill level is below the car's capabilities, so no parts other than a set of brake pads will be required for you to make the most of your track time. Once your skill level comes up you'll know WHY you need things, not just that all the cool kids on facebook all like these mad tyte seats yo.

Don't ask us. We're not authorities on this stuff. Find out what shops near you prep cars for heavy track use and go talk to them.

Also, be aware that harnesses and a lot of other safety gear has an expiration date. Don't think that the stuff you buy is going to keep you safe for the life of the car.

Take the advice of these guys. They are trying to keep you from meeting your ancestors before your time.

how about adding seat, cage, and harness and keep oem steering wheel with air bag for the first step?

No cage for a street driven car. Cage and helmet goes together. No helmet, no cage.

Look at the Porsche GT2/3/4’s. They have optional cage from factory, but only back half, not the front half of the cabin.

I think you should not spend a dime until you've done a shitload more research

Starting with looking up your local racetrack and signing up for some driver education with a professional

Also, meet some local track junkies and pick their brains

and don't buy a seat until you've sat it in to test fit.

You don't get it. Just spend your money on seat time. Get enough skill and speed to warrant a race seat, harness, harness bar or 4 point roll bar. When you are fast enough to compete or times fast enough to do so then you can go hog wild. Oh get a fire extinguisher!

Install the roll cage on the outside of the car and you'll be good to go :twocents:

how about this one? It says legal on road and only back haf without front. Can I use it with helmet In track and without helmet on road? Is this still available?

JARblue 01-15-2021 07:55 PM

It's your car. You can do whatever you want. I don't know why you insist on continuing to ask questions about parts that people have already told you that you don't need yet. Spend your money on seat time. You'll need things like an oil cooler and fuel starve solution long before you have any need for a roll cage.

I suggest you check out Facebook if you just want random strangers on the internet to validate whatever decision you make no matter how dumb it is.

"You'll need things like an oil cooler and fuel starve solution long before you have any need for a roll cage."
Good advice.

Otherwise, why not be nice?
He needs time to think things through.
Let the man ask all he wants. It's a free country.

JARblue 01-15-2021 09:05 PM

I'm just pointing out that it's pretty clear he's already made up his mind on what he wants. So why bother trying to convince us that he needs stuff he doesn't need? He can go check out the roll cage threads if that's what he wants.
