Stepping up to a 370z 6-speed - Black Cherry (2014 Sport)

I have been searching for the last couple months for a 370z in 6-speed and they seem pretty difficult to find at a reasonable price, as most at least up here in Mass seem overpriced.

I may have found "the one" though. I wanted to stay under $20k but this one seemed the most clean and well maintained. The guy is firm on $21k. I apologize for this type of post.

I've done extensive amount of research, and when it comes to a niche market pricing can be tricky. I would just like to hear others thoughts and opinions on the price.

- 2014 370z (Sport) 6-Speed in Black Cherry with 18k miles. Clean Title, No Accidents

Comes with:
  • 30 mm wheel spacers
  • After market exhaust
  • Brand new tires
  • Bluetooth stereo

What exhaust and what tires does it have? Based on that info, it maybe worth it.

Not a 100% sure on the make but it is an axle back system. Possibly remark? No burnt tips.

The new tires are Bridgestone potenzas

I can’t make out the manufacturer’s logo on top of the exhaust tip

It is a very nice color. I haven’t made the jump yet... maybe 5 years ago I would of jumped in right away. I just wanted to hear thoughts and opinions on his firm price of $21k

amcosta18,

I don't know your market, but with all of the extras that the previous owner has put on the car (cat back, side skirts and front lip, spoiler, new tires, etc.) you might have to look a long time to find one just as nice. All that stuff adds up ... and the low mileage ... seems about perfect to me.

See if he'll throw in the old muffler, just in case that axle back unit drones so loudly you can't think straight.

(I have a Manzo axle back on my roadster and drone is not an issue, because the car never gets driven in the rain, and the top is always down. No hard top coupe to capture and encapsulate the drone.)

I’ve used every online tool to value used cars and the prices they give me are 5k less sometimes. But it’s similarly priced as the cars on cars.com / all those other websites. This one seems to check all the boxes, I’m gonna have to sell my 04 g35 coupe with the brembos. Hopefully it’s worth it, would suck if the G ends up being some sort of classic/ sought after like a s14

Interesting theory.

What'd lock the deal for me is service documentation. I think much of the value comes from how well it was taken care of. Year model at a point can get a bit trivial as the car experienced minimal changes post 2013, but that 18k mileage is probably hard to come by at the price point.

Unfortunately not much service record atleast officially, the current owner is an engineer at Pratt & wittney and seems to appreciate the machine and definitely cares for it.

What is the person you might be it from like? If he is older, he probably did not beat on it like a kid would. Have service records? Car looks good. The head unit he installed looks a little cheesy. Should have went with a better unit such as a Kenwood Excelon. The shift knob also looks cheesy. Paint the door handles body color! The front lip looks good. What lip is that?

he seemed professional, car was pristine super clean. He actually had a clay bar kit in the car... something not many people do. I do agree the headunit is a bit boyish. Not sure on the lip, but its got the lip all around

Front lip, side splitters and rear lip all seem to have been done in good taste. It looks like a very nice car at a reasonable price, particularly if it has been well cared for.

The 30 mm wheel spacers would be the only thing that I’d be worried about. Those are pretty aggressive and I’d make sure the wheel bearings are ok and there’s been no rubbing on the fenders/fender liners. Also, the exhaust looks like an eBay knockoff which is hit or miss as far as quality and droning is concerned.
