Carbon signature??

Does anyone know what happened to the company Carbon Signature? (NOT CARBON SIGNAL) Believe the owner is a member of this forum but hasn't been active in over a year. All of the their social media has been taken down and no one answers their business phone. If anyone has any insight on what happened to this company can you please reply to this forum or private message me. Had an order for custom body work to be done with this carbon fiber body shop in Georgia and it feels as if they just disappeared. Which is very strange for a company that does the type of work that they do. Posting about this issue on this forum was my last resort but I really need some help figuring what happened to this company, if anything happened at all. Thank you

sorry to hear about your troubles with them, I did some checks and I see nothing as if they even exist any more, I still have there bushiness card not sure it will help.
Moses Award,
Moses@Carbonsignature.net

I did have worked done by them when I think they were first starting up and it took 6 months to get the work done. It looks great, but took way too long.

good luck

If this is the place in Cummings GA, they were trying to sell. My Brother and me were interested in buying the business about 5 years ago. He was asking a fortune and was a bit of a flake. I don’t want to get into details, but it wouldn’t surprise me if he was shut down by higher beings, if you know what I mean.

This is on their facebook page, i hope you didn't lose any money:

Matt Lima doesn't recommend Carbon Signature.

Lack of communication. Closed the business after taking orders/money without telling anyone/refunding. Epitome of sleaze.

Thank you very much for even checking I really appreciate that. I’ve e-mailed moses over a week ago with no response and I have called the actual shop about twice a day for the past 2 weeks with no response from an actual worker. Constantly getting redirected to an automated voicemail. Left a message over 2 weeks ago with all my contact information and still no response.....

Thank you very much for responding. This whole situation is just very strange.

Believe it or not Moses was actually pretty responsive when I had an order put in place. Unfortunately I’m now at 6k loss if this company in fact did shut down. Not to mention they have a brand new set of Fast Intentions TDX mufflers that belong to me. So I might possibly have a Zele body kit sitting somewhere in a warehouse along with my FI mufflers. Carbon signature did some work on a GTR that goes to a performance shop I take my car too and never thought twice about picking them to get the work done.

easy solution.... Call/email/text with a different phone and inquire about purchasing a product/service (voice would be best)... then slam him when he speaks to you - you can perhaps even set up a meeting for you to see said product that youre "interested" in

370Tyler 01-22-2020 11:28 AM

Yea I remember the company name from before I even owned my Z. they seemed like one of those flaky, sketchy, start up carbon companies tbh. Hope you didn't lose money and can find someone else to help with the carbon work. you can surprisingly find a lot of carbon bits online from places like Seibon and actually EBay. A lot of the EBay pieces are actually made in the same factory as the brand name stuff, not all but some. things like lips and skirts and other small things like that.:icon17:

If that was possible I would. All of their social media is gone and no one answers the phone. Moses’ personal Instagram is also gone. Highly considering making a trip down to Georgia and seeing if the shop is still there but that’s something I gotta make time for when I’m not working.

Hopefully you paid with a Credit Card or PayPal. FIRST thing to do is call them and tell them you’ve been ripped off.

$6,000 isn’t chump change.

Paid with a credit card via PayPal. Going to dispute the charges very soon. Thank you very much to you and everyone who’s answered this post.

Spooler 01-22-2020 12:33 PM

Yeap, Carbon Z is gone from Instagram. You may have a time limit on the charge back. Better call them quick.

NorthStyle 01-22-2020 07:45 PM

Seriously, I hope "very soon" is like now, right now. I'm not sure how long ago you paid him/them, but there's a finite time span before you're unable to file a claim with Paypal.

cossie1600 01-22-2020 11:43 PM

They adjusted their policy to make it very hard to file a case. I would never pay from PayPal unless it is super trusted

hurahn 01-23-2020 07:00 AM

Your money might be gone. I bought some simple carbon pieces as a test buy and I received some stick on bs. Looks like they closed up shop.

They changed the layout where you no longer have to "escalate" your claim to a dispute; confusing for longtime users but not difficult. It actually sped up the last few claims I've had to make. Worst case, you can always call them.

tonythetiger 01-23-2020 08:24 PM

wondering if you can lawyer up and file a lawsuit for this.

jusscon 01-23-2020 10:38 PM

I have updates on this situation that I will be posting once I have the entire situation resolved. Thank you to everyone for their input, advice, and concern. Will keep you guys posted.

gbrettin 01-24-2020 02:35 PM

Ouch, that sucks. I've talked to Moses/Carbonz in person at Zdayz and he seemed to be a decent dude. I know at one point he was putting out some really nice work as well.

After one issue with multiple Paypal customer no-service dopes I go right to a credit card dispute and let my issuing bank deal with em.

Got everything back thankfully. Picked up my parts and disputed the charges. Thank you to all that replied and helped out.

ZeroZ34 07-20-2020 04:55 PM

I hope you all get your money back!

I wonder if the company went under because of COVID or because of poor business practices?

That's great to hear. What a sketchy, sleazy issue to run into. Big thumbs up to the other forum members for helping around with some digging. $6,000 certainly isn't chump change.

Extremely unfortunate issue to deal with especially since I put the build behind by a year and some change. Just glad to have all my parts that I originally owned and ordered through the company. Unfortunately selling the body kit now but at least it’s in my possession. EVERYTHING was recouped (money and parts). Taking a loss on anything wasn’t an option for me. The business shut down in December of 2019 I believe. Long before COVID, at least in the United States. I will not go into specifics as to why the business was shut down because I don’t like airing out other people’s issues on a public forum but the situation was handled very poorly with no regard for the customer. Moses did ultimately step up and do the right thing.

hurahn 09-18-2020 10:58 AM

So who's left?
Carbon Fiber Element
VQ Carbon Customs
Jalisco's Carbon Fiber
Anyone else?
