Best Tires for the rear ? Best wear?

I have 11,000 on my 2018 and looks like I may need a new rear set.

Here we go again...

julio13, I'll interpret Zingston's response. Please check the Tech Section, there is a Tire & Wheels section that will most likely answer your question.

11,000 miles on the originals, guess you're having fun with your Z, congrats!

At least you are enjoying your Z unlike some people here. It is give and take really the best choice for tires you will find have moderate to low tread rating. What tires do you currently have on your Z now? What kind of driving do you plan on doing? In my experience out of all the tires I used the Yokohama Advan Neova
AD08 R’s were the best rear tires I have used but they don’t have the best wear rating moderate I would say. They have excellent dry traction and are even great in wet conditions as well. My next choice besides the Yokohama’s would be the Michelin Pilot Sport 4S.

I had Michelin Pilot Sport A/S on my '09 (7AT) and they lasted 30K miles before they needed to be replaced, and believe me, I had fun with that car. Bought my '09 with 50K miles and traded her in at 81K miles.

On my '13 (6MT), I currently have Yokohama tires and they seem also to be holding up.

O.o

I got about 15k out of my last set of a/s3s on the back. I'm under 40k and i'm on my 4th set of rears and 3rd set of fronts. And yes, i have had an alignment done each time i've gotten a set of tires.

I thought Michelin had a 30-50K mile tread life warranty for the A/S series? Should check on that since you may be able to have them replaced for free (or possibly reduced price).

Zezus 11-26-2019 11:57 AM

They are long gone now. i'll keep that in mind for next time.
I'm on supersports at the moment. i dont think they have a warranty.

Have you ever tried to warranty a set of tires???? Lol. Might as well save some heartache, and buy a new set.....
