Thank, I mean take it to the dealership and make sure you get everyone involved to acknowledge the noise is there. Then if you dont' mind leaving your car there tell them to figure it out. Thats why they went through my stereo and fuel pump because I made sure they all knew the sound was there so they can't just bs me the "cannot reproduce"

Well clearly if there are so many threads about this problem, it is in fact a big deal and pisses many people off??? So they come here to post hoping to find a solution. Genius. Geez.

AHHHH my car produced this sound for the first time today...

M Fugga

after ten mins of unbearable pitch noise, i turned the car on and off at the lights and it seemed to go away... not impressed... hope i can replicate the problem at the dealler...

gumpy: the sound goes when ur not hitting the gas anyway or when its moving very slow. u'll hear it again if u drive faster! :(

really for me I hear it when i'm coasting slowly or at the lights... the road noise drowns it out when i speed up...

dudafunk 05-20-2010 02:16 PM

Not that slow and not that fast :)

you know i don't think i have an ecu issue...

if i cup my hands over my ear so only the sounds from behind come in then i hear the whine, when i cup my hands the other way i don't... so my sound is coming from the back unless it's bouncing around the cabin in odd ways...

If it is from the back of the car it's the fuel pump isn't it? because it's very loud on a cold start and then it goes quieter... i'm only able to hear it when stationary

Fuel pump. I hear mine sometimes especially if the rear carpets are removed.
