Looking for your input!

For those that trailer their Z to the track, or anywhere, i'm looking for your input. If you had access locally to a Futura hydraulic lowering trailer, what do you feel is fair to pay daily to rent it?

If you're not familiar, they basically will lay flat on the ground, no ramps required and no removing bumpers or side skirts to get your car on the trailer. See video here.

Sub'd.

I am actually planning on moving from Tampa, FL to Atlanta, GA, and am interested in one of these.

You can rent a normal flatbed trailer for around $50-100 per day. I'd guess something fancy like that trailer could run $250-500 per day or more. And possibly a one way fee as well depending on your trip.

Find new or used one and buy it if you are going to track on a regular bases. If you don't have the space to store it then you may be stuck.

Yea they're not cheap; but the the convenience it offers should provide a big customer base for rentals.

Would be starting a rental business with it

True, but for the business, the customer will have to return it also, no one-ways.

I'm not sure I would buy something that expensive to rent out. You can get a steel trailer for less than $4k and by race ramps to load low profile vehicles.https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...e5fdd51a6c.jpg

Sounds like he's got a niche customer base in mind already if he's looking at something that fancy.

I'm guessing it will be tough to be competitive, and consequentially profitable, with steel trailers like that (without some frame of business already established). It's a saturated market.

True, but the idea is to eliminate the need for ramps and removing any body pieces just to get the car onto a trailer. Plus, Futura sells a "supercar" trailer which is wider to cater to that audience as well.

In my area i haven't found anyone that offers trailers like this to rent. But you're correct, it won't be profitable for a year or two.

Feather Lite also makes a similar trailer to the one you are looking as well. The only issue with renting it out is that you will need to get a hefty deposit as repairs will not be cheap. I would be worried that it would just disappear, lol and that is why I suggested going with a cheaper setup.

Spooler and I spent less than $15K for our 24' enclosed trailers. You could just start a transport business as especially if you are looking at catering to supercar owners.https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...75c7ead579.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...0d053e59d1.jpg

LOL! I upgrade mine right after that event as well. I guess he must be still trying to finalize things as he is just a little OCD.
