Did you change the diff centre at the same time as fitting the axles and fit a Quaife or Wavetrac ??

Z1 is pretty good overall in general when you look at aftermarket parts vendors in general. Even when there is a problem they are mostly good at resolving it. For me it's only when it was an expensive or bulky item that they get defensive about returning.

I liked them at one point. I spent a few thousand dollars one year, then a little less the following year. The last order from them two years ago was for 3 5lt containers of Motul oil, 3 veruspeed nismo filters(which I have found elsewhere for $16 each, not $30+), and a few other small items. I also added their large "zino" sticker because I liked them that much to pay for their advertising. A week went by and I emailed to see what the hold up was. It was...the sticker. I told them to drop it as I wanted the oil and filters in a timely manner. Was told they would ship, then when they received "zino" they would ship separate. Got my order and found "zino" in the box....defectively printed. Felt like because I complained(the only time mind you), they sent me a $36 sticker that advertises THEM that was defective because it was there and they didn't want to pay the extra shipping.....all for their own advertisement. Sorry, not paying to promote them anymore. $36 sticker landed in the trash, and so did my buying experience with them. Before I get slammed with "because of a sticker?", it is the principal behind it. Don't tell me one thing then send an inferior product, especially one that promotes yourself, period.

I have their rear Diff cover and originally had their FUCA's but had major issues with the FUCA several times, they damaged my car twice when they failed. They paid for towing and gave me some off on SPL FUCA's when i told them I will NOT have theirs on my car any longer after them failing twice while i was driving.
I have no need to buy further from them.
I hear their two piece rotors are a bargain. I have been gun shy ordering them, since I had such a scary time and damage to my Z while using there FUCA's.
As a daily I really don't need the two piece rotors.

How did the FUCAs fail? Normal driving and they just gave out from under you?

I think Z1 is a decent company.A lot of their products are more middle of the road. Usually with a lower price.Would work fine for most people.

A lot of us on the forum push are cars harder.Pay for the better products would be my suggestion.

I also have their differential cover but use the SPL bushings.

As to customer service and taking a long time to get order this happens to all companies.

They seem to want to make things right.

When building Z; I ordered wheels for the car. This is from another company.I was told 6 to 8 weeks.I wanted to see how wheels fit before mounting CF fenders which had to be modified.Took 6 months to get wheels.I was not happy.

Hard to have patiences when you want to drive car and parts are slow coming. Worse when something breaks because you used cheap part.

IIRC, the bolts became loose over time

Multiple forum threads ab it. IICR one issue was bolts working loose. Another issue was the dowel shearing off the spindle. https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...7708afe7f3.jpg

I almost got them as well until I read that thread. My life isn't worth 582 bucks lol

I just want to post and say I agree with their shotty and questionable service.

Bought a lip kit from them. The page said it was for 2009+ 370z's. I get the kit and find a good few dozen pits and scuffs in the kit. I had them "fixed" at a local shop that said it was some pretty bad molding.

I fit the kit, which doesn't fit very good at all, and the front lip isn't big enough. I contact Z1 who says they will get back to me, but don't until I contact them again. I contact the manufacturer and they tell me tough luck, it isn't for a 2019. I contact Z1 who after weeks of talking tell me they can't and won't help.

Personally I'll be issuing a charge back on them, but I can tell you they are very iffy with service.

So, at one point I said I'd refuse to buy from them for particular reasons. I had a 2015+ NISMO front fascia conversion that had paint that started chipping. Not Z1s fault, my local paint guy didn't prep it very good before hand. Welp, it was cheaper to buy a 2nd one thru them then anywhere else. However, this box was straight from Nissan, and so was the last one, but the first time I ordered, Z1 put the10-15 other items I ordered VERY loosely in the box the fascia came in, damaging the fascia.

Bottom line, they don't care, and very obvious.

I find them to be hit or miss.

I think if they pull your name out of a hat. You're screwed. If not, you're good. :icon14:

Overall I've had a positive experience with Z1 over the years.
