Evo-R quality/customer service issue
Just thought i'd share my bad experience buying from EvoR and hopefully save others from having the same problem.
I did a lot of research on EvoR before buying the high wing. I saw mostly issues with communication but I thought if I confirmed item availability beforehand I could deal with the lack of communication and order using my credit card to minimize risk should there be any problems. Throughout the wait, communication with the seller was difficult as expected, the tracking number that I received also did not work. Upon receiving the spoiler, I noticed a couple of major issues with the item: 1. One of the mounting points on the spoiler is damaged; there is a gaping hole and a crack where the embedded nut should be. 2. The gel coat underneath the paint layer has seeped through, so there are patches of blue all over the pearl white paint, underneath the clear coat. I tried to contact EvoR to resolve this issue but I found out that he has blocked my email address from communicating with him. After multiple failed attempts to contact Jay, I had to dispute the charge with my credit card, which took about 3 months but I ended up winning the case for a refund. I'm pretty surprised by the lack of morals from this business. So for future buyers looking at EvoR, listen to the other forum posts and steer clear. |
There is a reason nobody on here buys from them and this is it.

Did you file a complaint with the BBB?

Thank's for the heads up.

Ok, I now have to ask the question, Why does this forum still let Evo-R do business through the forum? How many members have to get screwed over before he is gone for good? This has been going on for some time now and this is not Evo-R first time for doing something like this and if history repeats itself, it won't be the last. The time for Evo-R to be band from the 370zforum has reached that time. If any members want to buy from him and risk a bad transaction then he or she can google him. :shakes head:

Sorry to hear of your experience with EVO R but,I believe that there are negative reviews with about almost every company out there. All you can do is file a dispute with your credit card company and hope for the best. The EVO R wings are carbon fiber but they can be repaired/painted. Everyone’s experience is different all the parts I purchased from EVO R I received but, shipping time took some time though. I had a EVO R high wing on my last Z and I really liked it a lot a specially for track duty. There was nothing wrong with it when I received it mounting holes were in excellent shape, carbon fiber and gel coating was in brand new condition, and installation fitment was excellent. I had to wait five weeks to receive my EVO R high wing it was worth the wait though.

The only “unlucky” thing was that he got scammed from someone who allegedly has a habit of scamming customers here. I may be old school, but if I get to the point where I need to get my Credit Card company involved, the Company is S-H-I-T. |

Buy from someone who stocks EvoR products. Then you can find out if it is in stock. You have somewhere to send back if product is defective. I have ordered from EvoR. Product did not show.Emails unanswered. 6 months later it shows up. I have some EvoR stuff I did not use in build if anyone is interested. |
After all the negative comments on this forum about Evo-R, I am quite surprised that members are still choosing to do business with them. Maybe we should ban Evo-R from this forum and post a banner notifying everyone that because of their poor business acumen, this supplier is no longer welcome here and members purchase at your their own risk.
