Triangular airplane wing thingy on roof?

BMW's have it... some Z's seem to have it. Mine doesn't...... why?

How do I get it now?

WHATS IT CALLED!?

PlazmaStrike 01-08-2010 01:56 PM

Do you mean a wind deflector? That's usually for a moon/sun roof which the 370z doesn't come with. Unless you decide to put a moonroof/sun roof. They sell them at most auto places like auto zone/pep boys etc.

SHARK FIN!! It helps keep the car level when traveling under water.

nixxer 01-08-2010 02:58 PM

Just so you have an answer, its for satellite radio. The guys who have the touring package get it. Otherwise known as a shark fin airplane wing thingy! :happydance:

nogoodname 01-08-2010 03:46 PM

it splits the air at super sonic speeds...... keeps the car stable i heard

IDZRVIT 01-08-2010 03:51 PM

Mine has it and..................................it flies!!!!!!!!!!!!

TipsZ 01-08-2010 04:06 PM

Someone already mentioned it, but to confirm it is the Satellite Antenna. What pisses me off though, is that you can not use that for aftermarket HU's. It appears to only work with the Bose system.

I do have to agree that it does look pretty cool. Much better than some flat disc sitting on the dashboard.

Wait, wait, wait You mean to tell me it's not my Flux Capacitor?!?! No wonder nothing happens when I hit 88... Stinkin' dealer lied to me.

Sperm 01-08-2010 08:28 PM

It's a GPS antenna for the NAV system.

Op is kidding right?

Gaiiden 01-08-2010 11:52 PM

the actual radio antenna for AM/FM is actually built into the rear window. I don't know why more cars don't do this. I hate radio antennas and was so happy they did this with the 370

dudafunk 01-09-2010 02:31 AM

lol...thanks!

Sadly, this is probably closer to true than false.

m4a1mustang 01-09-2010 04:13 PM

No, it's to make the car more shiny. Doh.
