For real though, a Targa top option wouldn't have been that hard.

Yeah, that's pretty hideous. I've never really been a fan of anniversary models, though the 40th was nice.
|
Are those akebonos? Maybe that's also it?
Edit: Forget it. I just read you're supposed to add it to the sport pkg. So wack. Smh. At this point. U should get the sport pkg for 29,900 and the nismo for $36,000. The base models are obsolete. The stickers should add $1600. only cuz of the rims. |

This probably comes from tight budgeting constraints. I seriously doubt the Z staff are content with this release. But they probably did the best they could with the extremely limited freedom they had.
The meeting probably went something like this: "Alright team. It's the 50th anniversary of the Z. Let's celebrate with a commemorative edition! Ideas?" (Various ideas are shared) "Thank you for the input. I forgot to mention, the finance team graciously allocated $50 to make this special Z happen." It's not the worst deal if you insist on a new Z, but don't want a Nismo. For $2,600, your getting this: 19" x 9.0" front and 19" x 10.0" rear 50th Anniversary Edition forged alloy wheels by RAYS® 50th Anniversary Edition side marker decal 50th Anniversary Edition unique exterior graphics 50th Anniversary Edition exterior badging 50th Anniversary Edition tachometer 4-way power, 4-way manual adjustable driver's seat 4-way power adjustable passenger's seat 50th Anniversary Edition leather-appointed seats with synthetic suede inserts 50th Anniversary Edition unique interior stitching 50th Anniversary Edition interior badging 50th Anniversary Edition leather-wrapped shift knob 50th Anniversary Edition Alcantara®/Leather-wrapped steering wheel Deletes Front Chin Aero Deflector and Rear Spoiler |
I noticed on the Nissan website that the 50th silver model is a 2 tone paint with brilliant silver metallic and magnetic black pearl. So I guess the hood, a-pillars, roof and hatch aren't a wrap after all.
I really want to check out that black pearl in person. It looks :yum: |
