Great story.

haha... hat with the straight brim maybe curved up at the end. I bet he also had a nautical star tattoo (even though he's never been anywhere near the ocean) and a couple swallows (so "jailhouse" generic) tattoo.

That's nothing compared to what I saw happening with a 370z

I'm pretty sure he was that way before he got the Camaro :). Let's not mix up cause and effect. hehe

Besides, this thread is as useless as a vagina on hilary clinton.

IMO the rear of the Camaro makes it look like a matchbox car...The front looks just MEAN but the back is blah

hopefully, this could help in your decision....

Chevrolet Camaro SS 2010 vs Nissan Nismo 370Z - FastestLaps.com

Here is hoping that the next year model will feature direct injection for more hp, better tires, and better balance performance overall.

They used a wrong picture for the Nismo 370z, which makes me wonder if they even used the right Nismo 370z or did they use a Nismo S-Tune 370z.

Also, I'm not surprised that they claim the Camaro SS is noticeably faster, afterall....the Camaro SS has a much bigger size Engine so if the 370z can have as close of a lap time and acceleration, more pts should be going to the 370z.

By the way, I can't believe the scoop in the front bumper of the Camaro SS is a fake. Unless the Camaro V6 3.6L can perform nearly as well as the 370z, which I can bet it cannot....I'm all for the Z. I can appreciate American Muscle, but it's just not for me. Because in the end of the day, what's stopping Nissan in coming out with a massive V8 engine like the Camaro SS (almost twice the size of the Z) just to prove that the Z can perform better.

Also, like I said previous from my experience from testing the car....the article you provided didn't miss a thing

Interior Design and Special Features

"On the downside, there are a few ergonomic annoyances. The steering wheel is overstyled and doesn't fit human hands the way it should; the same goes for the bizarrely shaped manual shift knob. We also dislike the main gauges (they're hard to read) and the dead pedal (it isn't angled properly for comfortable cruising). Other issues include lackluster interior materials quality, the lack of an optional factory navigation system and the Camaro's tiny trunk opening, making loading elongated objects an exercise in frustration (golfers be warned). Backseat comfort is marginal, as you'd expect -- there's a shortage of headroom and legroom, so don't expect to use the rear quarters for more than short trips. The rear seats don't fold down, but there's a trunk pass-through."

I seriously did not get this vibe with the 370z; of course it doesn't have backseat-boo (but that's why you'd get a G37S), but I loved everything they did with the Z since the 350z.

The track times are from magazine tested results. And yeah, the site used the wrong picture but the car tested is the Nismo 370Z.

The Camaro SS beat the Nismo 370Z fair and square. Which is sad because we tend to see the Camaro being the better performer in a straight line battle and not curvy tracks.
Nissan should take these times into consideration esp the new 2011 Mustang that is about to debut. Give the Nismo 370Z justice, Nissan!

the camaro ss was among some of my choices too but in the end, i picked the 370z.

nuTinmuch 01-10-2010 12:07 PM

afaik, both of those tracks have very long straights and focus on power more than anything else. It is surprising that the Z came that close, in that case.

frost 01-10-2010 12:19 PM

I know this point has been made several times in several camaro threads, but for those who would buy the camaro JUST for it's power output, remember that it barely beat the cobalt SS in the nurburgring. I'm not saying the track is the end-all beat-all for test for handling, but it shows that there is a difference in straight line muscle and handling.
