I haven't seen that in many cars. I installed the factory rearview mirror w/monitor and it doesn't do that, then again neither does my Honda or my parents Toyotas.

I know this is an old post. Is there a place to mount an OEM camera on my 2010 Roadster? I do not want an aftermarket one. I have the nav and it shows in the menu an engage and dis-engage feature for a camera.

Seems to be a 2009 item. Post#22 has information on 2010's |
FWIW, the OEM backup camera does NOT stay on after getting out of reverse, or at least it doesn't in mine. I have a '13 Z with OEM nav and as soon as I shift out of reverse, the screen goes back to the info screen.

The best outfit and solution I've had was with Carkit company. They are in the middle of moving their business to England from New Jersey so it maybe hard to get something ordered right now. The have the best solutions available. Car Kit Company |
