it really spun out... wow... the rear hit you..

do you always have a camera running when ever you drive... like a cop cruiser camera??

Zsteve 01-03-2010 05:56 PM

So how many forum Zs have been hit so far and what are the ages of the drivers? Just curious and hoping this wont raise our ins premiums if we keep getting hit.

370Zsteve 01-03-2010 06:04 PM

Looks to me like the douche in the Mitsu was tailgating the Z.

dang370z 01-03-2010 06:13 PM

he notice how pretty the car was and had to get close...

That sucks. It is great to have the proof on camera. I hope the Z is going to be OK. But....I have to ask.....why were you taping?

ZKindaGuy 01-03-2010 07:01 PM

At first I thought you went to the left when braking so you wouldn't hit the fisrt car. However when I looked at the video again you didn't go left until you were struck from by the Eclipse. Pheeeewww!

Sorry to hear about your car- its a good thing you're ok.

I have to admit -I'm really curious as to the video camera. Is there any particular reason it was on?

cpehaot 01-03-2010 08:13 PM

The camera is a toy :) I am a nerd :p Its always on and record 7 hours over and over.

Jordan777er 01-04-2010 12:07 AM

Sorry to hear about your Z. At least the camera was on and you can prove you weren't in the wrong. That seems like a nifty little investment/toy. I might pick one of those up one of these days.

Sorry to hear about your accident. Your video, and looks like the person behind you was on your bumper, and wasn't paying attention... hope the damage isn't too severe, and you get it fixed pretty quick...

motoextreme 01-04-2010 12:44 AM

I too am sorry to hear about your accident, glad your fine.

I'm intrigued by your camera idea. So you have a camera permanently wired in that loops every 6-7 hours? That's pretty cool..

Too bad your not down this way, my neighbor owns 4-5 local bodyshops and does beautiful work, fixed my Rover a couple months ago when my wife rear ended a nice S550 and fixes my neighbors cars all the time as he's a bit accident prone :).

Sadly, I think all cars should come with those. When the other driver started to pull out, I thought they were going to take off - lol.

Same when the car that was sideways, they started rolling and I thought the same thing - they're going to leave the scene.

If anything the car that's sitting sideways should be liable for both vehicles, I'd guess...

AK370Z 01-04-2010 03:18 AM

a. I'm very sorry to see the Z got hit. I was in a same situation 2 years ago when a lady hit my as I was cruising at 75 MPH! But hopefully everything will be fixed like before.

b. WTF what car was doing in the picture?(the one you had to brake for?) is he lost/confused/car stalled - what happen?

c. What camera do you have on the dash. I know dash cams are VERY popular in Japan and tons of Fairlady Z34 have them over there. Your cam seems very high tech with GPS and compass. Any link to the product?

thanks

sorry about the Z, hope the eclipse has insurance, thought it was gonna take off for a minute, hope everything gets put back together.

Yup, I'd say the Mitsu was going to try to leave the scene. Hell, he didn't even get out of the car to check the driver of the car he hit, wat a maroon
