450+ Miles on one tank

I just returned from a trip to Los Angeles (from San Francisco) and managed 450 miles on one tank. It's my first long distance trip in the Z and I'm impressed to say the least. Their MPG estimates are pretty spot on.

I was able to replicate this distance coming back. Traffic was minimal both ways and cruise control was active most of the time. The miles estimator stated I had about 30 miles before empty.

Don't let anyone tell you the Z isn't efficient!

That.is.awesome!

Trying to think if I’ve cracked 300 miles on a tank, hmm?

yes, that is great, I am amazed myself at times what the mileage is....

I do a ton of driving in traffic. I see my mpg drop to about 21mpg. When Im doing long distance to Arizona Ill get 23mpg if Im doing ~80mph. When I drive like an old lady stay at the speed limit and dont do any spirited driving, I can get 26-27mpg on the whole tank of gas

Wow that is crazy! I was actually thinking about hitting over 700km/400+miles during my commute to work this morning haha.

I do about 60% city, 40% highway and I regularly get just over 600km (~370 miles) out of my tank.

Although I find my fuel economy computer inaccurate because it says I get 9.1L/100km (25.8mpg) but I track my fuel ups with Fuelly and get 10 to 10.5l/km (23.5-22.4mpg) :ugh2:

Wow! I am lucky to get 280 miles on one tank with my Z.

I think a lot has to do with the 19 gallon tank?

My brother just traded in his bone stock '16 Sport MT and bragged about getting 400 - 430 to a tank all the time.

I bragged right back that I almost got 220 to a tank. LOL

Then again, I drive my Z like it's meant to be driven. There's not a day that goes by that it doesn't see redline at least once.

Wut how? So my last fuel up was 33L for 190km or about 17l/100km

The computer is showing 13.4 lol my old car id get a bit better. I blame the shorter ratio causing quicker spooling. And constant redlining lol

LOL! I can only manage about 210*F oil temps in the 4.5 mile city trips I make back and forth to work. :nutswinger:

A few forum members have hit the 500 mile mark on a single tank. I've done it once - wasn't worth it. I'd rather get 100 miles on a tank :driving:

On my road trips i avg 10/100km.

Would equate to 720km or so. I am sure if i didnt launch at every turn pike or drop to 4th to overtake or just hoon it a bit or avg over 120 (vs 110 or so) i could get more. But your point -why tho? Lol

Send it! It aint smiles per 100km for nothin

it has an 19 gallon tank.... it gets pretty good gas mileage if you cruise at fwy speed, especially without air cond. on.

Accurate. Just had this conversation with my wife. I turn off the mpg estimates, I don't want to know - I just want to enjoy it. The moment I start thinking about fuel efficiency, I stop having fun. If I wanted fuel economy I'd buy a prius - or a fit :stirthepot:
