I've used Meguiars Heavy Duty Headlight restoration kit, and was unimpressed, but learned some things. I use the 1500 grit-3000 grit wedsanding method, heavy duty compound, and then finish up with Meguiars UV protectant that came in the kit.

Look brand new ! And a few months later havent faded a bit.

Do you drive through the desert? Those things are sandblasted lol.

I've used the Turtle Wax kit (the one for using a drill) on a decade old car, and it worked well it seemed. However a year later it seemed the sealant wasn't sufficient. A simple touch-up buffing and sealing took care of it though.

I don't know how easy our headlights are to remove, but I'd suggest going that route and using a power tool. May as well do it the best you can.

almost - it's as hot as a desert in Florida, and the car is 8 years old. Mostly garage kept, but the UV rays are brutal here.

Mine are staring to tint yellow, I bought the " headlight restore kit" by Turtlewax from WM and just use the white bottle of polish and about every 2 months I rub the yellow off and they look brand new. Just got to keep up with it.
