Enthusiast car meets in Phx
I was wondering if any PHX members have been or know of any weekly car meets? Doesn't have to just be Z's obviously.

A lot of car enthusiast head to the Pavilions on Saturdays. I'm not in Phoenix and the Southwest section is dead. I do track days with AZ NASA. The is a AZ Z club there in Phoenix and they do some stuff.

It's been a while since I've gone down there but there's cars there every Saturday as far as I know. |
The Pavillions car show is informal and every Saturday from 1pm-?, summer time is different because nobody wants to stand around in a parking lot when it's 110 deg, so most people are there at sundown. This happens to be the nation's longest consistent running weekly car show in history (29 yrs). Off the 101 and Indian Bend in Scottsdale.
Cars and Coffee was moved to Scottsdale Road and Mayo drive (One block S. of the 101) over a year ago because shop owners in the strip mall complained about parking and the effects on their business at the Double Tree. This is the same thing that happened to the SoCal C&C but the cops were bird dogging drivers and people were burning out and getting into crashes when leaving. This happens the first Saturday of every month and it usually gets going early from 7am and breaking up before noon when it starts getting hot. They have a special area for Asian imports as well as other categories so cruise around until you start seeing Godzillas, WR's and Z's. The Italian Scuderia Club still thinks they own it but let's face it, the Ferrari and Lambo guys don't even own a tool box. |
