Another should I trade question.

First, hopefully the mature folks on this forum who either do not like me, think I am a troll or whatever will show their maturity and move on to other threads. I expect a few wannabe forum mediators to jump on the thread and make it about the poster and ignore the OP. Course there is that one who wants to tell everyone (as if all forum members are dumb) who is a troll and another who has attempted, with much failure, to humiliate me on any number of other forums.

Okay, here is my question. I have a 2017 base Z in a beautiful blue, AT with 31k miles.

A dealer nearby has a 2015 Black Z, AT sports package with 20k miles and another about 2+ hours away has a blue 2015 Touring (has the brakes, leather and Navigation) and 8.5k miles. The first one is listed at $22k, the second one at $23k. Both are AT.

For the Black 2015Z sports package, dealer wants $2.5k. For the 2015 Blue Z, dealer wants a $3k difference.

Your thoughts without name calling is appreciated. If you think the question is outrageous, please move on to the next thread. I just need to make a decision within 24 hours. 1. Keep my car, 2. 2015 Black sports package Z with 21k miles, 3. Blue 2015 Touring with 8.3k miles.

Thanks.

I'll bite. Feel free to throw me into what ever category you like.

Really only you can answer the question. Do you like Black better? What do you owe on your 17? You can throw money in any direction if you really know what you want. I guess that is the hardest part of it, knowing what you want.

Personally if I'm pressured by a 24 hr time limit, there is really nothing to consider $.02

:shakes head:

Dude IMHO, maybe you need to be doing more research via cars.com, kbb.com or some other car price analysis website, instead of coming here and opening yourself up to ridicule. I'm going to guess that you are about my age (I'll help you out, I retired from 20 years in the military in 1994, after joining at age 18) and even I can make a financial decision once I have all the information. Common sense says 'do what you want and the hell with everyone else', but TBH, that isn't what it appears is happening here. :icon14:

I've read all the posts and threads you've posted and I'm a little concerned that some basic information hasn't sunk in.... like, maybe it's time to have someone else other than this forum, help you with financial decisions. I don't care how much $$$ you claim to have, or if you pay cash for a car or not, the simple fact remains that the cost of constant turn-over of vehicles (property taxes, insurance, tags, title, etc) leads to a high cost/year of ownership.

People here have held your hand through who knows how many vehicle swaps, and yet you keep changing cars like they are depends.... I'm not a medical professional, but your actions would lead one to believe that you might not be in full control of your faculties. If I was to do what you have done in the last few years, my kids would have had me committed or had someone managing my money for me.:eek:

I'm not trying to insult you but all of the information you seek is available in lots of places; this forum, Google and the websites I've listed. Why in the world would ANYONE keep coming back to a place that ridicules them? You do realize that your behavior is the definition of insanity? Doing the same thing over and over again, expecting different results.....:owned:

what exactly do you want in a Z? why did you buy your current car in the first place?

why keep asking for advice when you haven't taken any?

HIZZY 02-01-2018 02:01 PM

vinyl wrap :: it's a glorious thing

wrap it and make it any color you like.
Theres dudes on IG changing colors like the seasons.

keep the car & MOD the car to whatever you want it to be.

/end

eZg 02-01-2018 02:07 PM

Modding a base with something like a better diff is a pretty expensive way to go.

OP obviously wants an upgrade.....YOLO

HIZZY 02-01-2018 02:10 PM

pony up & get a nismo

YOLO

StevenSlice 02-01-2018 03:20 PM

Keep ur base and mod it up. Nothing to special about a sport package imo other than the brakes, which are easily put on a base. (I would know, ive done it.)

Dont like the color? Paint it, Wrap it, Take a sharpie to it.

Dont like the Z? Sell it go to another platform and leave.

Keep it, pay it off, then mod it to whatever you want it to be. I don't think playing musical cars with no goal in sight is ever a good idea. YMMV.

Personally, I would keep what I had until something more interesting surfaced. Why trade the vehicle you've already grown accustomed to for another vehicle exactly the same (trim aside) if I was you I'd keep that one and add the items that my current vehicle lacked or I'd go a completely new route period. Why not a Porsche or even a GT_R? Or one of those new infiniti 60...I was just curious is all.

I am very mature. And you are still a troll.

Ghostvette's reply is as good as you are going to get. To any of your inane OP's. Print it out and re-read it every time you have an impulse to ask a car question.

Or just sell your car and have somebody drive you everywhere you need to go. Please.

BboyZ 02-01-2018 06:34 PM

if your current Z is beautiful as you mentioned, why looking for another Z?
Second, correct me if I'm wrong, but where is there question on your post OP?

That's what I'm thinking. Is this the third or fourth hypothetical "should I trade" thread started by the same poster? OP you must be very difficult to live with.
