What does the Rear Tunnel Stay Assembly do?

Hey guys,

I recently bent my rear Tunnel Stay Assembly with a jack...loooong super unlucky story....

What does it do? Does it affect the frame or anything around it if bent? This is a tracked car.

Hope you fellas can help!

Looks like part of your rear subframe. If it were me, I would replace it. Find a front end wrecked Z and pull it off.

I was able to find a part and it is being shipped to me today. Just want to better understand its purpose and how it affects the components around it.

Going by what I can tell from various drawings, but not 100% sure, it increases tunnel/frame rigidity for the rear section. Not sure how a bent one would affect things but it may have the tunnel/frame in a bind.
