Clutch getting stuck on my 2010 40th anniversary 370
Hello there everyone, I知 a bit of a lurker on this forum but recently I致e been having a problem with my car. Sometimes when I知 shifting gears and I push in my clutch, it gets stuck pushed to the floor and I have to physically pop it up with my foot. This tends to happen the most when I知 downshifting into a gear and the RPMs are still going to be low after the shift. If that makes sense... please help! I have a warranty from the dealership but I知 not sure if this is something that actually needs repair or not! Thanks for the help!

CSC. Warranty coverage is a crap shoot. Flush the fluid and see if that helps you along for a while, but plan for a replacement. See if the dealer will allow you to bring in an aftermarket CSC instead of putting the OEM one back in.

OP, assuming you have the means to do it yourself, definitely try flushing the system first before just replacing the CSC. Does the issue seem temperature related? ie. clutch is fine when the car is cold but after a bit of driving and warm up it starts to act up? If so then it actually might be just sh!tty fluid that need flushed and not the CSC. |

Alright I will try that. I知 not too savvy with cars but my z is what I知 trying to learn on so I値l do my best. I知 about to have to drive to classes though.. am I going to be okay driving it for now if I just deal with the clutch? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Like Chuck said, talk to your dealership and hopefully things will work out in your favor. |

Had that happen once on my 40th as well. Pedal went to the floor while at the drag strip, but it never happened again. It turned out that I boiled the clutch fluid. In your case, it sounds like the CSC is on it's way out. If you continue driving as @Chuck33079 states, it may go to the floor and never come back up.
For the little expense and time it takes to put new, high-temp fluid in, that is the first thing to try. If it still happens after that, time for a new CSC...Keep us posted as to what happens next. |
Thank you all for the help!

I'm always to take the robust stance on this:
HD CSC or Slave delete that thing ASAP. I just don't get why people want to wait until they need a tow truck. |
