Gamma Motorsports OUT OF BUSINESS AGAIN!!!

Can anyone confirm if Gamma Motors (previously known as GTM) has gone out of business again or not?

I have been trying to reach them for 3 weeks now through multiple channels and the phone still rings but no answer or response.
It's sad that a customer who has spent $10-15k with them can't get support and worries me that their products and support will be unobtainable if they go bankrupt again.
I know it was less than 8 years since their last bankruptcy so I'm not sure of the details of the situation.

If by some miracle they are still in business I recommend that nobody do business with them or you too will most likely have an unpleasant experience.

Any info on the status of their business would be appreciated.

I just tried calling them @3:30PST no answer.

Honestly not surprising considering the history.

Try one of their dealers, maybe they have other means of contacting them.

Ugh. Hope this isn't true.

Rusty 07-10-2017 07:23 PM

I expected this. It was only a matter of time because they still had bad customer service. :shakes head: If they would have improved on that. Think they would have stuck around.

Zat_Zuma 07-11-2017 10:24 AM

I hope someone that cares buys them out.
They are well engineered SC kits that just need a proper owner to support it and improve them.

The TT kits are pretty well a cookie cutter brand that have been surpassed in competition.
Better options out there for the price point. But for its time it was ok but shoddy materials lessened its appeal and gave GTM a major blow to its reputation on how it was handled.

Good riddance. It's sad that people continued to support such a horrible business. While a new owner and proper support like Zat_Zuma suggested would be ideal for the community, everyone involved with GTM or Gamma must be kicked to the curb first.

It was only a matter of time. They were trying, but their decision to not keep any of the technical people from GTM was a major misstep. They spent a long time not being able to answer even the most general tech questions about their own products.

I always got great service from them, I'll mourn the loss... Let's hope I'll never need gamma-specific spare parts for my TT kit or that someone else will pick up the IP and inventory.

This.

I suppose I am in that boat with you and everyone else with a GTM kit of some sort.

We should band together and buy them out. Who wants to live out their performance shop dream?

Jayhovah 07-11-2017 03:28 PM

Okay I have some info for you guys.
I emailed the owner, Amin, but got no response.

I also texted Jason, the guy who served as my tech support when I installed my kit. He is very technically sound and knew the kit forwards and backwards, and here is a direct paste (autocorrect errors and all) of what he had to say:

back so I can custom fabricate anything. That's what they hired my company to do At one time. I never really worked for Gamma they just would out side contract
my company to do stuff for them

Thanks.

So Chuck et al who have said in the past they had no technical people - it appears likely you were correct all along. The technical folks (like this guy, whom i referenced in the past) were contractors. The good news is, if you need technical support, I can vouch that Jason knows his sh!t.

Hope this helps, OP (and others!).

Somebody had been working on a pretty big build with them I thought, and not a year ago either but in the last couple months. Must have some info off there if they've been closed a year now then how could it be.

He got all or most of his stuff from them. Someone else is building the engine now.
