Watershed Cabins - Bryston City, NC

Has anyone here been to these cabins? If so, did you drive there in your Z?

The reason I ask is because I'm going there for 8 days this coming September, and my Z just happens to be lowered on Ark springs now, and from what I have been told, the roads up there are hell.

I'm frequently in that area and have had no problems with the roads. FYI, The Tail Of The Dragon is quite close and should not be missed!

I'm concerned with the very tight, twisty and steep gravel roads actually getting to the cabins.

The Z actually does better on gravel than my wrx did (bc "racing" coilovers barely lowered), just don't hammer it and you'll be fine! The ground clearance isn't bad, but the 19" wheels can be a liability if you're not willing to go at a snails pace.

When I mentioned not having any issues with the roads, I wasn't referring to steep twisty gravel roads... I let my Jeep tackle those chores. However, the few times I have been on gravel with my Z, it was important to respect the gas pedal. Wicked easy to spray those rocks.

I assume you don't know that I'm lowered on Ark GT-S springs. Clearance isn't all that good. Most likely even worse off road.

Rent a car.

My Z isn't lowered and I won't go down gravel roads with any ruts or holes with it. You may be able to go slow and keep the wheels on the high spots but why sweat it.

That would kind of defeat the point of the trip if I were to rent a car and leave my Z home. Pretty much like going to ZdayZ in a minivan.

It's all been solved though, so no worries now.
