You need to keep in mind that there is no standard when it comes to 0-60 times. Also, most of the rest of the world including Japan state 0-100 km acceleration times which is actually 0-62 miles/hr. So there is a difference there.
Regardless, acceleration times from a standstill are no longer that significant today. The whole package is more important to the intelligent buyers.

What I keep finding is the Z34 from 2009-2011 has 0-60 times times of 4.7 seconds and the newer 370Z's are clocked at 5.1 which is extremely close to my old 350Z which was at 5.2. I didn't see any downgraded performance or changes in transmissions since then so what gives? Is it different tires?
