Didn’t happen “today” but couple days after finally getting her going this happened. https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...c0da1820f0.jpg

Not sure if I’m gonna get another Z or get something JDM. *

CEL for cat efficiency is back, so I'll put in the copper gaskets and look at getting retuned.

My VLS Oil Pressure gauge is here so I might install it this weekend. We'll see if the pressure is still in spec, lol.

I installed the sensors and the fittings tonight for the oil pressure gauge. I had a tiny leak at the fitting for the gauge sensor so I backed it out and added Teflon tape (I must have forgot). No obvious leaks after running the car and doing a slight rev. I didnt drive it down the street but it should be ok. All of the fittings don’t thread in all the way, but I guess that is expected with tapered threads. I was able to get a reasonable amount of turns on all of them and tightening them so I was sure they are not being backed out easily. Any tips on dealing with those fittings? I’ve been reading through the threads, and I think I’ll add some RTV to the base of the fittings so it will at least give me an extra seal. I saw absolutely no leaks at the BSPT fittings on the block or the OEM sensor.

Also I went ahead and ordered a new undertray. Trying the Z1 version this time.

Drained the old power steering fluid and replaced it with fresh Redline ATF. I also emptied the catch cans. both were FULL, which cant be good for driving around; admittedly, i have not checked them in a while. Cleaned the air filters, changed to the copper header-to-cat gaskets, and then started routing the wiring for the pressure gauge. I definitely need to extend the wiring to have some options for the position of the gauge. Still waiting on my add-a-fuse kit so I can leverage a 12v source. Likely going to use the tap for the cigarette lighter since those are not on when the car is off.

Installed some K&N drop in’s today. Definitely the toughest install out there lol.

Pretty impressed. Throttle response is noticeably better, engine feels like it’s running more smoothly, and I low key feel the slight HP gain. Not bad for the price. I think there is a slight sound difference as well, but it’s hard to notice over the short tails.

I remember on a dyno day, we had 2 Zs with the same cat back only and nothing else) same model year. The one with drop ins made 10 more wheel horsepower than the one with stock filters. Not the best test but it's something.

Fix it or purchase another Z! That looks fixable my previous Z looked worse than that and I had a body shop repair it.

Changed the spark plugs yesterday to confirm if mine was running lean. Just ordered a tune through SpecialtyZ to correct it until I pull the trigger on a supercharger
