40k mile service officially complete:

- StopTech Street Pads installed and brake fluid flush with Motul 5.1 using a Motive Power Bleeder and Longacre Brake Bottle Bleeder. Made the job clean and simple. Two tools that I highly recommend for the DIY guys and gals out there.

Still have to set aside time to replace the differential bushings and add the Z1 subframe inserts

Guage sweep before the first mini drive. Godamn few things came to light right away...

1) the feedback through the wheel/chasis is real! Had to have the wheel like 5* off centre to stay straight on some of the roads

2) road noise... after that quiet comfortable is350 ride its night and day for obviously different tastes

3) acceleration... so nippy. Even if i eased first gear and didnt really hard wot 2nd or 3rd cause temps suck still picks up. Got a bit too carried away then realized i was going a tad bit fast for the roads... had to back off. oops:tup:

4) everyone wanted to race me... lol like easy there buddy in the mazda 3 and acura suvs... i just trying to take it easy.

5) i love this car lol

5.1) the car is doing more than 15L/100km (15mpg) and i was "babying it". Cannot wait to really giver

Back when i first learned how to drive i had 2 launch modes.

Rocket launch or stall... i learned its easier to just rocket launch since it looks cooler than a pit put crunk sound lol

Spent $300 getting my front speakers replaced (one blew out like 2 months ago)...I didn't do enough research to realize that there are special adapter brackets that are necessary for aftermarket ones to fit... :shakes head:

$300 What kind of speakers did you buy? I just replaced all four of mine in my daily for about 150 with brackets.

Did you do the installation? Maybe I should have just done that...

Image Dynamics...supposedly was the "cheapest" they had. They sound good, but in hindsight, should have just bought some online, bought the brackets (I paid $100 for them to "make" these), and just had the place install them. An expensive lesson nonetheless, but I did say thank you, after they bent me over...

Yeah I did do it myself. It takes a couple of hours, but for me it was worth the savings on labor.

I put on some Stillen front and rear sway bars after the shop installed my Koni Yellows. I plan on replacing the sway bar bushings with a better material because they looked worn.

I installed some Z1 Test Pipes. Demon bolt put up a fight, but with half a can of penetrating oil, a blowtorch, and a heavy impact wrench, it came loose.https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...52937ce4bb.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...847e8abcf6.jpg

How how people in Hawaii and California getting away with test pipes and High Flow Cats? WTF man

Leingod 03-20-2019 06:22 PM

Note to self. When shipping a friend a set of axle backs... send him both and not just one. The other is chilling in my garage still and the girlfriend didn't know any better when she was being kind and helping me send them out.
