Picked it up today!
 

Hi All -

Long time lurker here, but finally picked up my car today - 2009 Magnetic Black 370Z Touring with Sport Package. Though I really wanted the 6 MT (the Z is not going to be my daily driver here in metro NY - I've got a G35X Sport for that), I got a great deal on the 7AT. Surprisingly, I don't feel that the 7 AT is too much of a compromise - This thing shifts *really* quick!

As it's freezing here, I haven't driven the car too much or too hard just yet on the summer rubber, but so far this thing is awesome - My drive tonight to pick up a container of milk was more fun than it's ever been, even at low speeds.

Looking forward to becoming a participating member of the Z community, and pics to come soon.

zmyride - I wound up being out the door at $36,100, plus tax. I was originally going to pay cash, but wound up getting 3.4% APR on 5 years from Chase, so I wound up financing it.

That's a good price...no sat nav, right? If you got sat nav with that, that is a screaming deal.

I paid 37.7 with sat nav, splash gaurds, Lojack, spray on clear front bra.

Was it a Z, I sold a black on to a guy in NJ

Correct, no sat-nav. Being that the Z isn't really my daily driver, I didn't think it was necessary considering I have a TomTom. That said, I do miss the iPod interface that my G35XS has (also without nav).

Color choice was really hard. Originally, I was hoping to get Platinum Graphite with the Persimmon interior, but there were no cars on the Eastern seaboard with that interior. I then thought i wanted white, but after I saw the Magnetic black, the deal was sealed.

After a dark blue Acura RSX (first car), I swore I'd never buy another dark car again, but there is something about the Z in black that is so sinister. The fact that the dealer wanted to move this car, which has been in their inventory for months, definitely helped the decision. So far no regrets at all.

The RSX was a great car - Got me thru high school and then the first part of college, before I traded it in for a TSX. After my TSX lease was up, I converted over to Infiniti/Nissan after seeing the now current TSX and TL.

I'm not much of a luxury sort of driver and would never consider the TSX or TL for a car to own--I look at them in terms of style to see how Acura is doing. And, sad to say, I think the design is going down the tubes.

Bought my S in '05 so it's a bit over 4 years old. Looking for a bit more HP and a bit more style.

Not knocking the RSX...it's a great little car.
