Couldn't you get an 'older' model (since the body hasn't changed much at all) and install some bride recaros and call it a day? Talk about saving a bunch of $$

What you save on the car. You will pay for the seats. :rofl2:

2010 doesn't have an oil cooler, but I do agree that overheating issues in normal driving are a highly exaggerated problem, if it's a problem at all. If you're going to run the car on a track, the factory oil coolers aren't likely to be adequate anyway.

I was replying to the beginning of NecioVato post. That the new Nismo had a better oil cooler. Which it doesn't. It's the same one. And people still find the the Z still runs warm with the factory cooler on the street.

Mine has factory cooler & added 50rwhp from stock & runs 200'ish cruising around...a little spirited driving & 220,230 will come up before you know it....it's definitely one of the 1st foundation mods I should have started with....unsure how warm it got before installation of mods.
Recently seen 240+ after hitting it pretty hard.

In all of this Florida heat, I have never seen my oil temps go past 210, even idling in traffic.

I love my 2010 Sport, but also prefer the new Nismo's design.

I think the Nismo seats are worth the upgrade. As someone who owns a 2010 base and does not track his car. The missing components aren't really a huge deal for daily driving a gorgeous car, but those seats are phenomenal and cost $9000 a seat from Nissan so even if you hate the nismo turn around and sell off those seats for a cool profit.

I would say that the OP can't go wrong either way, but the Nismo will be better if they can afford it. Like its the same car just with all of the expensive stuff that someone like me who didn't get aspires to get one day. The nismo looks the most "modified" that someone can get (in a 370z) from the factory so if one was never going to modify it but wanted to turn heads, thats the best way.

Compromise, for the price of that 2017 you could buy my 2015 TT Nismo :)

ShuuraRG 06-07-2017 03:23 PM

Search around like I did and find a 2015+ Nismo! I found mine in Indiana for 32k. It was a dealer model with 17k on the odometer. After trading in my G37xS, I walked away with a 21k car note. I love this car!

$18k for a pair of seats?! WTF?! Screw that. They can keep them. Nissan can go jump in a lake.

But seriously, I think your price is wrong there...

Yellowwolf;
Un-sure what kinda power you're looking for & if you could even handle a monster like this.....at least take a look at the build thread of this car; a professionally modded and no corner's cut built Twin-Turbo built ~Z~
Much desired Fast-Intention's Turbo kit at that!
I'm unsure of all of the item's that will be going with this Z's sell,,,but i'm very certain he's taking a large loss selling this one.
Quality Part's & Labor!

I called the Nissan Dealership directly about trying to get them and they quoted me that price, let me find the email.

Found it, my fault the total was $16,428.38. So Roughly 8,000 a seat.

TreeSemdyZee 06-08-2017 03:26 PM

Buy Sportster CS from Recaro. Between 5 & 6k with airbags.

That's honestly absolutely ridiculous. You can get a turbo kit for cheaper

Yeah, thats when the dream for those seats died. Seriously could buy a Juke Nismo RS for that and steal those seats (same seats just need brackets I believe). Or buy literally any other 3+ of any other seat on the market. I was appalled and the guy was like "so do you want to order a set?" ha. Sir If I had 18k to blow on my car I would be spending it on a built engine and set of twins and happily sit in my base cloth seat while blowing the doors off GTR's

Exactly! Some of these car parts are damn ridiculous. I'm thinking about getting a 100 shot of nitrous for my 370 just to piss mustangs off on occasion. If used in moderation and Correctly it seems to be pretty safe.

That I would love to see, I know some people do run nitrous but I've never read up on a build on one.

Yeah it's not very popular on the VQs... something I would definitely have a shop do for me. Nitrous is not something I would want to play with myself
