Launch control
Does the Z come stock with this feature?
|
No.
|
it has lunch control
|
Only 2017 comes with launch control.

You know, it would be really helpful if Nissan could take all of the relevant info and specs for the car and put it all in one place. Hell, they could even make it into a book and give everyone who buys the car a free copy.

That's what I don't understand about the OP. Usually, I thought people this stupid keep their idiocy contained to the Facebook groups where being a halfwit is celebrated and knowledge is the devil. People that come here usually have some degree of intelligence. But then somehow we ended up with this thread, so apparently my theory was debunked.

Take it easy on the OP Chuck... It was a simple question and like Nixin said, this forum is here to help Z owners with basic to highly technical questions.
I believe your very knowledgeable about Z's (not sarcastic) and have learned a TONNE I am sure through the build of your car AND on this forum. |

I get it now. I didn't know the OP's history. Thanks and my apologies Chuck

To get the feature you will need a tune. I used ECUTech. They created a "second map" that i can toggle using the cruise control buttons. Once on that map I hold the clutch in and the car bounces off the set RPM that I told the tuner to use.

Alright listen guys first off I don't think it was a stupid question I was watching a bunch of YouTube videos and there's a couple videos of guys showing you how to initiate launch control so I wasn't sure if you needed some type of programming or it was built in so I figured I'd ask, im not a retarded, yes okay I don't know as much about the Z as you guys do but I've been trying to learn, I do have feelings and I am a human with eyes, I get the sarcastic jokes and sh*t, plus im not like the guy saying I needed to know ASAP, also one more question what is OP? Im assuming some abbreviation for noob?

For me, it's not that you ask questions (stupid or otherwise), it's that you don't seem to be willing to do a little research before asking them (which would often obviate asking). There aren't many questions that can't be answered by the OM, FSM, or a quick web search.

I am not a snowflake and have thick skin. I seen a reasonably new member (which I didn't look up his previous posts) and thought it was a little harsh of a response. I was hasty in replying and realize it sounded like I was a forum cop. |

Being a lazy ****, I'd like to point out that OP could have typed two characters into Google and found his answer. Far easier than typing out the entire question here--and less inconvenient to the person who had to answer such a simple question. On the other hand, maybe that signifies that OP has a good work ethic and doesn't like to take easy shortcuts. Edit: Wait. Why is my word censored when the plural form is fine in what I quoted? N/M. Rhetorical question. I should probably just ask Google. |
