...lol I love the Z the way it is out of the box, I found this "thing" on ebay so I'm asking ..where does it attach, can't be the window on the door because of the power button when you shut off the car and the rear you couldn't open the door...bored and the mind is a terrible thing...:driving::driving:......ohh wait it attaches to the rear and stops at the pillar...I get it...

The purpose is to give the Z that Miami Vice-ish look. Couple that scoop with the rear window louvers for a complete effect.

"Scoopmobile" never gets old. I will admit I thought about it when I ordered my arising II front.

I think we need to see what would happen when we combine scoops + vents + Battle Aero wing.:rofl2:

I had a FJ Cruisser and when I went to South America to watch a dessert race most SUV's including the FJ's had a similar scoop on the roof above the front windshield and it was for air circulation....I guess that had a purpose this one for the Z is for "looks" :rofl2::rofl2:

I see mustangs all the time with these things and I am always all WTF. I get they are trying to look all Elenor and ****...did these things have a purpose way back in the day?

You guys are all incorrect. This "scoop" you guys are referring to is the intake for a very special edition mid engine Z called 370ZM. Only 1 was ever built. It was capable of doing 0-60 in about 2.5 sec. The engine, inline 6 turbo, had a base plate of prefabulated amulite, surmounted by a malleable logarithmic casing in such a way that the two spurving bearings were in direct line with the pentametric fan.

The latter consisted simply of six hydrocoptic marzelvanes, so fitted to the ambifacient lunar waneshaft that side fumbline was effectively prevented. The main winding was of the normal lotus-0-delta type placed in panendermic semiboiloid slots in the stator, every seventh conductor being connected by a nonreversible tremie pipe to the differential gridlespring on the "up" end of the grammeters. I have no idea what I'm saying.

Useful only if that small Glass can be open, divert Wind inside the Car.

Are you kidding? That would essentially be making your car a parachute on wheels.

You use them as blinders, you can not be distracted by seeing anything aside of you. (Not that there was to much there to start with)
