370z Leather seats?

So the leather seats entirely arent entirely leather? Are they half cloth/half leather?

frost 01-08-2009 09:01 PM

Leather on the outside trim, with synthetic suede in the middle.

Did you really have to start a thread for this? You could have just looked at interior pics...

Kinda too little substance to merit a new thread?

I sat in a touring model tonight. The suede material seems to be less slippery than leather. No test drive so I can't comment if it actually holds during hard driving.

I'm actually excited about the fake suede. Leather is too hot for Phoenix, but cloth seats always seem to give me static cling.

As frost said, they are cloth insert in the middle and leather on the outside. Let me see if I can find some pictures for you.

There's been way too many trivial threads going up lately...someone needs to put an end to the madness.

Well, here's the thing. You guys are here all the time and know where exactly everything is. Many people who just signed up, can't really find all the info they are looking for since it's scattered all over the forums. The search option is only as good as the thread starter's thread title. So, during the beginning stage like now( 370Z went on sale for 5 days only), we will get questions like this. The best thing one can do is either answer the question or point them to the right direction (or thread)

Lol, what happened to "stop the madness"
I think that hit the point better

At any rate, there do seem to be a lot of posts popping up with questions that could be looked up in 10 seconds on nissan's website.

Thanks for answering my question.

Is it only possible to get leather seats with the touring package? I think I've seen some pics of base models with them but maybe I'm wrong. I know there is no option on Nissan's website

frost 01-08-2009 11:35 PM

You can only get them with the touring. Sorry mate.

Faux suede, cloth or whatever it is will hold you in place better during aggressive driving, but I'd rather have full leather myself.

Because the first time around I came off as a bit of an M3 driver, so I changed it to be a little more PC. I'm glad you agree though.

So yes...

Leather seats come in the "Touring" version/trim of the car. They are not an option.

You can NOT get leather seats in the "Base" version/trim.

And No...

They aren't fully leather. They have cloth inserts in the middle.

In phoenix, leather can cook your *** to medium well. Suede is gonna rock!
