In my area, I always get eyes looking at me. I look around and always see people pointing at my car. I dont know if they saying positive or negative things though.

Funny thing is.....a lot of people here have owned a 350z so they are only insulting themselves lol

haha in a way you are right, I think the problem with the 350Z is, there are so many used any Joe can buy a used one for like $10-13k and they think they are "doing it"

blue660r01 12-05-2009 07:09 PM

Oh you mean teens :icon17:

theDreamer 12-05-2009 07:10 PM

Give it another 5 years and the 350z will become good again, the teens will have moved onto new "it" item (hopefully not the 370z) and then the 350z can become a classic Z.

I'd say it's a very high percentage.

A lot of people have mistakened mine for a 350z but most people already know its a 370z and either say damn, holy **** or wow.

Zsteve 12-06-2009 07:33 AM

Ive had 2 german made Audi cars and never had to have a loaner. Great cars, great customer service and never said a word about my mods, they just fixed it. Again I think people who drive high end cars report smaller things than those who drive other cars. Ive already heard in here that people wont take thier car to the dealer cuz they know they will have to fight to TRY and get things fixed so they fix them themselves which of course doesnt show up on those stats. People who drive Audis, BMWs, etc will take their car in for a simple rattle or blemish cuz it gets fixed no matter what. Just my 2 cents.

Mods ranging from intakes - rims can void your warranty
It's up to the dealership if they want to void it or not...

I went to Advance Auto for a specific gasket:

Him: What vehicle?
Me: 09 370Z.
Him: 350Z?
Me: No, 370.
Him: You sure?
Me: Yes, 09 Nissan 370Z.
Him: What's that?

:iagree:

ah come on. this is a storm in a teacup. mostly by morons who don't know how to adjust a floormat properly. i'd rather take a crappy floormat than a fuel pump that fails and strands me in the middle of nowhere (335i/135i) or an engine that leaks oil out of every orifice in its block (boxster/cayman/996 carrera), or repeated failure of expensive electronic components (bmw, mercedes, almost all german cars) or downright unreliable junk (land rover)

Ricochet48 12-06-2009 05:17 PM

I agree, even my "car guy" friends don't know much (or any about the 370z). I have to explain that it's under $30k runs 13.3s, lower, wider, shorter, lighter etc.

Also I have only seen ONE 370z on the road. I'm in grad school at U of Illinois, so the combination of not driving too much (I have a well recognized RSX-S with 11k into it) and not being in a particularly urban area can explain some of the rarity.

Actually, I correct myself. I did see more 370's, BUT that was this summer in Japan. I also saw a heavily modified black R34 parked in front of Tokyo Tower, but that's a whole other story

Take it from someone who lives in South Jersey (North Jersey... pffft) that more dbags drive BMW's than pretty much every car, I've noticed. Specifically guido dbags, but whatever.

Also I don't drive a 370 (yet!) but I have had many people mistake my car for a G6 which while I can sort of understand... I really can't, heh. The angles are completely different.

I come home from class on Tuesdays around 8 at night and I'm pretty sure the same kid in a 3 series drives on my bumper every week. Never passes me, just sticks there. Pretty sure one of these days I'm going to have a piece of Munich in my back seat. :V
