seriously man.. instead of people thinking "hey, its a motorcycle, if he crashes, he has no cage to protect him", people think "its a small bike, ill pull out in time".. even though we're likely to go faster on a sports bike than in a car.. at least I am..

but more importantly, is the 370z a really good chick magnet? being 18, that would be very important to me, and im considering the car.. :)

If you depend on your car to attract women, you've got a lot more to worry about than your car.

Just sayin...

Men who owned hot cars and got chicks...well that worked before AIDS became a "problem"...

I hate it when I'm having a conversation with a girl who knows nothing about cars except the words Mercedes and BMW and they just brush off my statement "I'm thinking of getting a Z" by saying "I'd only go for a BMW" :-/

I mean fine maybe a 7 series but all those entry level 3 series which she'd actually end up getting anyway? Come on.

Then I have to do the usual drill, log onto this website, copy paste a pictures URL show her what it looks like, and the attraction continues.

Hate it!!! But gotta do what u gotta do with em bimbos.

dudafunk 12-03-2009 12:35 AM

Meanwhile, I wouldn't spend $40,000 when I'm 18. But you have your dad to tell u that, so I'll stick to my chic magnet story :)

I get the same sh*t with women when I tell them my bike is a Honda. "I only ride Harley's" - I tell them one of a few things:

Mean: "Great, when I see you on the side of the road with one, I'll keep going."

Nice: "If I see you on the side of the road with one, I'll go ahead and call AAA for ya"

Favorite: "Really? I only f*ck pretty/thin/blondes/redheads/women with big titties/someone with an IQ of at least 60/etc - so I guess you're walking/staying here/screwed..."

darkROAM_1 12-03-2009 07:07 AM

Meh, it's anything from a "chic magnet" or anything of the sort where I live. Hell, I don't anyone who has gotten a girl from simply having a car. It's not like people still drive around picking up girls these days. Then again I've been single for about 5 years now so what do I know I guess LOL

As for the rude people on the road, yeah. I almost got hit 3 times on my way to work this morning. People love to think I have to slam on my brakes b/c they don't want to get out of a closing lane sooner.... /sigh

Mindless drones man. The bad thing about all the safety stuff in vehicles is that it hasn't killed off enough idiots.

+1

That is why my DD is a 1988 F-150. But in the Z I always get tailgate by freaking big trucks.

The Honda pulls to the center lane gave me the finger while doing so and tried to pass me, but I accelerated and not allowed him to do so. Honda ended up tailgating me again.

My gf told me to stop playing with him. Second attempt to pass me, I let him and he slowed down to 60km/h. I changed to center lane Honda accelerated as soon as I did but I managed to past him.

I really don't understand what people are thinking. And I wasn't driving the Z, I was in a 997TT.

^Similar story here too. It started with him tailgating super close, so I just hit the brakes and let it decelerate a good 30 mph. Cars whizz by on the right so he can't jump over. He starts flashing his brights and honking like crazy. I let it ride nice and slow. A spot finally opens on the right for him and he takes it. Low and behold, it's a goddamned prius. I'm in my old 96 Saturn mind you. He tries to pass, we both gun it, and I burn him at a snails pace and he had to get behind me again. This whole scenario repeated itself twice more before he got tired of me and started tailgating people in the other lanes, weaving in and out of traffic.

But I'd be careful with the whole rolling scenario. In a lot of cases it's considered backing up and you're at fault for not having proper control of your vehicle. But it can be turned into your favor if the other driver is not giving you the proper room needed to operate your vehicle.

^Interesting. Today some douche in a beemer pulled out of a lot crossing two lanes to get behind me (I'm in que to turn left at a stoplight) and didn't turn wide enough so he's blocking traffic in the next lane over for people who want to go straight. Attempting to make things better I assume, he inches as close as possible to my bumber. I've got a stick and we're on a steep- I mean STEEP- *** hill. The car in front of me moved forward a little so I rolled back ever so slightly before moving up myself in hopes of making him aware that maybe he shouldn't have done that. What does the a-hole do? PULLS UP EVEN CLOSER THAN BEFORE. People man. F-ing retarded.

i haven't driven the Z enough to notice either way yet...but i did notice some of this happening when i was driving my old Si.

I was hoping that this car would have comanded a little more respect...guess i may be wrong

^ that sounds awfully painful, so did you end up tapping his bumper? or pulled the ebrake? lol sometimes when people tail gate me on a steep I usually let my brake go for a split second so they know my car is rolling back so they'll back the f'up or stop rolling towards my ***. But there are times I just don't trust myself with a 2" gap so I would pull the ebrake and do the noob hill method LOL.

Dude, it's called e-n-v-y! Some folks just can't see other people in "better" vehicles than theirs ("better" in quotes 'cause it's so relative, according to each individual's standards).
