To clarify more, no, I don't have cash in hand.

I have $2k down
and financing.

I'm expecting to make more in the 2nd year and be able to pay it off by the 2nd or 3rd year, but I'll start with 60 months.

I saw many private deals that were great but no one would want to do financing on that with $2k at least.

$35k for a used 2014 nismo? ins't that a bit much?
a 2017 costs $40.

I wish I could buy a 0 miles 2014.

Thanks again!

In Ohio I just picked up a 2013 nismo with 29K miles for 25K. Immaculate condition.

Nice! I spent like $26k on my 2009 back in January '14. 39k miles. You did good.

I remember coming across a '15 nismo tech for 30k w/only 10k miles. clean title too. turns out it had major undisclosed frame damage and 3 owners and moved from auction to auction.

I see.
I found a 2014 for 30k with 8k mi.
I found 2013 for 23k with 40k mi.
I found many other deals around the same prices and they seem to have clean VINS.

Couldn't they be getting a bit lower in prices with time?

I sold my 2014 with 5k miles for 28000, flawless other than the hood being keyed

Used At Dealerships

I have had dealers tell me, they make more on a used car than on a new one.
It really depends on the desireablity of the car. The 370 Z roadster we bought a couple of years back, there was another couple there waiting, if we didn't buy.

I know about the used vs new thing, but yeah. if you show u really want it, they gotcha by the nads.

I'm really eager to get this specific 370z but i'm running $2k down low on the downpayment and the damm capital one won't give me anymore credit.

xD

But main question is, if posted price is $24,000, how much can you offer lower than that and make it an acceptable offer?

because a dealer just came back to me and said the lowest they could do was $300 less.
(coggins)

lol right?

depends on the dealership. show them that you're a serious buyer and give them a reasonable counter-offer (example: 22k) and see what they say.

or if the posted price is 24k, ask them... what's the total OTD price (taxes and fees included). Once you figure that out, negotiate that number instead.

2k down is very little, and if cap 1 isn't giving you more credit, it sounds like your credit score isn't all that great either, so your APR might be pretty high. 2k is only covering the taxes and then some...maybe you should re-consider your purchase for a while and save up some more first.

Ya. I tried. It should be around 34, and they went down to 28,500. I dont think they'll go below 28.000

I got $6k down.
Yes. Someone came back and filed a lien in 2014 from 2008.
I called the number and there's a high guy that doesn't have any clue where that's from, but he wants me to pay it. and that's making a ding in my credit. It's only $2k I owe.
Plus 1 other thing of $200 bucks.
it sucks cuz its not much money and I didnt know about it till now.

With my people I have perfect credit. Got stable job as of months ago so it kinda helps, but still.

Don't pay it just to get it off your report, demand written proof that it belongs to you. If the people that are holding the debt don't know where it's from, chances are it's bogus. Also, depending on the state, statute of limitations comes into play. Research what your state's statute of limitations is on debt and if this is outside of it, tell them to pound sand and get the credit bureaus to erase it.
