Upping My Z Game

I have been driving a 2010 Roadster Touring sport for a few years, I really do like it but its starting to get Kind of Janky at only 40k Miles, The top is starting to become a hassle and sometimes gets stuck halfway I have to finesse sometimes to close it. I do not have a warranty cause I got it used And really do not want to deal with the repairs to the top. and the car rattles and makes some weird noises. Im not really a convertible guy anyway. The paint is kinda Jacked like someone parked it under an acid tree for a month and there are spots all over that could not be buffed out, and it has all kinds of really weird touch-ups and deep scratches. However its fast and has the best front end grip of any car I have ever driven. I really do love to drive it. I have been wanting a Porsche for a while and was looking at Caymans.

So on a whim I drove into Carmax and they offered me 16k for my Roadster (I paid 18k 2 years ago) So I am jumping at the deal, I went shopping the Caymans and to my surprise to get one close to the performance of the Z it would be like 50K used and when I drove them I was kinda missing the Z and its Pull and stability. I knew I would miss my Z (and a ton of cash) if I got a Cayman.

So Saturday My New Z is being delivered a 2014 Coupe with 1600miles on it and 19 months on the warranty. Its a Base with sports package. Im psyched It was cheap enough to pay cash for and I think I will get a Ton more use out of the coupe as I only drove the Z on nice sunny days. (I Have an audi company car for a DD and wife to drive).

A few questions?
I pulled the fuse out of my steering lock on the 2010 Does the 2014 Has the same steering lock issue as the 2010 did?

Also is the Clutch slave still an issue on a 2014?

and do coupes come with a spare tire?

This is my first post after lurking a few year.

sorry for rant but Im excited.

Thank you

Welcome to the forum !
Glad to see I'm not missing anything in the Cayman
Excited, I still am every time I drive mine... And if you store it for the winter, it's like getting a new car every spring.
Excited is cool

Glad you're in your new Z! I am like you but did the opposite. Had a 2009 BASE BASE BASE (lol)...but after a while i wanted the fully loaded roadster. Very happy with it. It a second car so the miles stay low and maintenance stay impeccable.

Did you have an exhaust on your Roadster? I have a FI CBE on mine and you hear the exhaust WAAAAYYYY better than you do on a coupe.

Anyway, just thought I'd share, I'm sure your going to love your new Z even more than your old one

CarMax cut you a good deal on your roadster. Congrats. Btw DE is absolutely right.
