If you plan to stay NA my experience in a G37 was , FI resonated HFC, Motordyne XYZ with exhaust, Takeda long tubes ( or Gen 3) PST carbon driveshaft ( not necessary on a Z) Uprev w/ tuner cable and Motordyne intake manifold. The mod I felt the most from that should have been the first was changing the rear diff to a 3.69 from a 6mt into my 7at which was originally 3.36. The issue is where you plan to go. If you plan on boosting later skip everything and just get your money set for boost. Otherwise stay rational in your expectations because for the money spent it can be crushing when you find that you spent 2/3 boost money and made 1/4 the gain.

These are the same mods I am planning to get. So far I have the HKS Hi-Power exhaust and was looking into Berk HFC's. I considered test pipes for a moment but figured they would be way too loud.

The HKS looks and sounds great alone, but I am sure HFC's will definitely wake it up some more! :o

Take a look at Z1 Motorsport's 400hp kit (flywheel hp) if you're gonna stay N/A...otherwise look at the boosted kit's available.
Twin Turbo easily puts down 600rwhp & a single supercharger w/air cooler 500rwhp....it's all about the ($) & where you are looking to go.
without boost or nitrous; peak is around 340ish rwhp.
Also,,,Mods are like drugs....very addicting!
have a good day :)

I started doing na mods around the same time as you on a 2014 base. Now the stillen cai and fast intention long tube headers are coming off at 17k miles, along with other worthless stuff like upgrades base brake rotors and pads - going sport package now.

All my na mods will be on the for sale forum soon. If you want them hit me up. My advice though, dont waste money on anything NA only if you are going FI. These mods, while fun as heck, only delayed my next step. The sooner you pick a direction and bolt toward it the better off your wallet will be in the end.

Regardless my best mod so far is the RJM clutch assembly. Hands down, changed the car for me. That is one of those mods every should just do.

:iagree:

I'm planning on going boosted, so I'm not making a lot of changes engine-wise (CAI or exhaust) because TT. :yum::yum:

The focus for me right now is deciding on BBK & 19" wheels & tires. I'll need the bigger tires/larger footprint to put the HP to the ground.

Thanks for the update on your HKS. Great to hear that you are more than happy with it. I am getting ready to place my order now for it.

We just recently did an AAM TT kit with the ARK Grip exhaust. It was a great combination setup.

Nice! I ordered mine through Kamispeed. They have a good deal on the exhaust, but they are backordered now :(

Check this out. This is how it sounds with the combination of HKS with the Berk HFC's. Pretty nice.

I too just ordered this exhaust today. Though there was no mention if they were back-ordered or not.

JM Auto Racing 08-25-2016 12:26 PM

These are backordered until 10/10

Reading discussions on mod selection among car enthusiasts (mostly men) is like overhearing women discussing make up and dress selections, lol.

Then don't read them. The rest of us enjoy the discussion. There's the door.
