Are you sure it was a good battery? While not as common as it was 20 years ago, it's still possible to buy a new battery that is weak.

If the battery is good, then I'd next check the console antenna that kenchan mentioned. FSM will have info on how to get to it.

I wish it was the battery :( i bought two batteries and Nissan also tried new batteries. lol they were gonna try to charge me for batteries they used

Op. So even with a new fob battery and key slot assembly, your doors won't open again.......but does the car start with the key inserted? If the car fires up, your culprit is your antenna for the fob as mentioned above. If your car does not start you have a bigger problem.

yeah the car starts with the fob inserted. The car only didnt start one time even tho the fob was inserted.

It doesn't happen every time i go to unlock the doors tho which is weird it'll happen like once or twice a day.

its the OEM stero but i'll check it out

Does not mean an install/OEM reinstall did not happen. I know if I did an install on a car I may trade some day, I would keep the OEM stereo to put back in.

Could always buy a new key fob from z1motorsports.com and have the dealer program it. May not fix but....

I don't think it's the keys. The day I got this Z I sold Car Max my 2011 Z. I only gave them one key fob because I couldn't find its he other I found my Keys a few weeks. The first time I took my car to Nissan I took to my old spare with me so they can reprogram both my keys to see if maybe that would fix the problem. They said that they fixed it but didn't :/

I did tell the guys at service maybe it's just the keys and if they would try to get me new keys. He said he will talk with the tech guys
