TWM Shift Knob Packaging - They have done it again.

For anyone who doesn't know, this is not the first time TWM has done this to a customer. Please see the link below:

http://www.the370z.com/nissan-370z-g...mpany-wtf.html

Anyway, I ordered the big type R and short throw shifter from them for my z. I inspected the box upon opening and there was no yellow sticker (I learned to look for that from the other customer's thread), so it was not inspected.

The pictures I attached are what came out of the box. They wrap the shift knob only one way, so it is not fully protected (just like the other customers packaging). I have also attached the response from there returns department. Funny how they are saying the exact same thing as before. Same crap packaging, same BS story. It scratched on the top..... the top is not protected.... end of story, company needs to cover the replacement.

What a piece of work this company is...... my advice, stay far away.

Good to know. Wc lathe werks it is then.

Apparently on the phone "I am trying to spin this my way. I dropped it" is the response.

I dropped an F bomb (I didn't call anyone it) and they hung up.

Well, screw it. I don't care about it anymore. I will bump this thread ttt forever.

Plenty of people selling Hebi shift knobs in the used forum. Hit me up if you want to off load one.

My fault for getting upset on the phone. My apologies to the TWM employee.

No worries though. I would rather support the used community here. It's amazing. Got a Hebi shifter that will be in the mail tomorrow.

I just had a complete BP turbo kit shipped from Canada no less from a user on here, and it was perfectly fine.

I'll just make a project out of this shifter or something.

They might come back and say "There you go.... proof that he dropped it!".... let them say whatever. You guys know what this is.... it's a game that companies play to minimize their returns.

I have too much stuff going on right now to play it, so they win. But everyone on this forum deserves to know what they are up against when dealing with this company.

That's pretty annoying. If you bought this through PayPal, put in a dispute. If paid by a CC, call them and complain about it.

That was how the shifter was packaged, all open like that? Looks like the shifter scratched the knob in transit.

Sorry man, thats ********. I wouldve dropped an F bomb as well. My PWJDM knob came wrapped in like 20 feet of bubblewrap and shrinkwrap... TWM Take note.

They wrap the shift knob latitudinally. They do not wrap it long ways to completely cover the top and bottom. There is a piece of TWM tape to hold the bubble wrap in place. But the shift knob is free to slide up or down (just like in the old post. In this case, the shrink wrap holding it to the piece of cardboard failed in transit and the shift knob was loose in the box causing it to slide and rub against the short shifter.

They also do not fill the negative space in the box. Simple solution.... put the shift knob in it's own little box and slide it in the big box? Use a little more bubble wrap both ways? O..... here's the best solution though, blame your customers on the phone!

It is spelled 'that', and 'there', no d's involved, you spelled 'the' right though....props.

Brutal

My brand new Hebi wasn't packaged much better, but I don't think a hurricane could damage that thing :icon17:

Send that POS back to them and call your CC co and do a chargeback. You can't do it until you no longer have the product.

Seeing this thread is enough for me to switch from purchasing from them and to find quality competitor who will value customer service.

Sucks to hear dude.

The problem these days is they're all interested in the money and quality suffers.

JARblue 08-26-2016 07:49 AM

:wtf2:

Now I feel lucky that I picked up my TWM shift knob and short shifter used.
