New Z owner

Hello. New Z owner here. Well, its been a bit over a year now since I secured my 2015 Z. I love it, it's the best purchase I've ever made. It's not my daily driver so I keep it garaged for several days at a time and all throughout the winter months here in PA.

Its such a blast to drive as you fellow owners already know. I bought the base model and so far I've added the OEM rear spoiler and have tinted the windows. My next 3 upgrades will be the Stillen dual cat back exhaust, Stillen CAI, and replacing the factory head unit with a Kenwood Android compatible touch screen with backup camera, navigation, and combo dvd/cd.

Just wanted to introduce myself here and say I'm glad to be a member of the Z community.

Congrats..... Stillen exhaust? U sure about that? You don't want something louder?

From what I've heard and read, Stillen makes a great exhaust for the Z. They're a bit pricey but they make a quality product. I don't plan on purchasing it until sprIng 2017 so I'll be researching some other brands as well before making a final decision on it.

I'd strongly suggest listening to sound clips or attending some local Z meets. Stillen looks and sounds very similar to stock.

Thanks. I will look into this. This brand seems very popular from some of the other threads here on the forum.

Thanks for the advice. I will follow through on this. Very similar to stock for the Stillen? Wow

Yes. They utilize a horizontal muffler set up so you won't see much of a difference. In terms of sound, there's definitely more of it but still muffled compared to Fast Intentions, Ark, Motordyne. The tones they emit all sound much better IMO.

If you don't like the muffler 'can' design of the above, look into Berk as well. It'll retain more of the stock look but gives more growl than Stillen. Pair it with some Berk test pipes and that's how the Z should've come stock!

Yes as "cooltoy" says ,Fast intentions are the ones. I have them on mine, not too loud and definitely not too quiet.

I went Stillen exhaust and really enjoy it but I had driven an abnoxiously loud car as a dd for years before and was tired of it. My z is my dd and I would not say the Stillen is like stock, sure at cruise it is quite but that's a good thing to me now after having a constantly loud car. Yours isn't a daily so You may be in a different position than I am but I would say hear as many as you can, also FYI the stillens got louder after some miles and a track day.

Lots of good info here. My buddy has an Ark on his 2010 Nismo and he loves it. Sounds like I have a several good options to choose from.

How noticeable is/was your increase in actual performance with the Stillen exhaust? I believe I read they claim something like 20 additional HP to the rear wheels.
