Just traded Genesis Coupe for 2014 sports package

I just traded my 2013 Genesis Coupe RSpec with 35k miles for a red, 2014, automatic, sports package with 8500 miles. Unfortunately, because of poor resale value, My Genesis coupe kbb value was only $17000, paid $7000 on it to get the 370z.

I liked the Gen a Coupe, more comfortable and quite fast but I guess, I don't care for its looks and love the look of the 370z. ( had the 2006 350' the 2009 370z before.

I just have to learn the paddle shifters some day soo.

Back to a z? You have automotive ADD. :rofl2:

ZeeBabar 07-21-2016 06:57 PM

Yes but got to get some help. A 2003 Toyota Celica, a 2006 350z, a 2009 Mazda RX8' a 201o Miata, a 2009 370Z, a 2013 Gunmetal 370z, a Genesis a Coupe 2013 and finally today, a 2014 bright red 370Z. All between January 2008 and today.

However, this is the last, a retirement present for myself.

Nice, everybody deserves a retirement present.

I went the opposite route. Traded a '13 Z Sport for a '14 3.8 Genesis Coupe GT. Much more comfortable DD than a bare bones 370. Not quite the performance of the Z, but close with much more tech.

With a record like yours, I'm not buying it!:D

My wife and I went for a little 30-min. drive yesterday evening in our '14, TS, 7AT. I had a smile on my face the entire time. And whenever I go into our garage, which, being retired, is frequent, as soon as I see the Z, I get a smile on my face.

It seems I have no choice in the matter, even though we've now had the vehicle for almost 3 months. If this phenomenon continues, I'll start to think there is something a bit magical / sinister about this automotive design thing. Because you've previously owned a Z, maybe you agree. After all, you're "back in Z's saddle again"!

The tech goodies are all great while they are covered under factory warranty.

Well you can say that about any car I suppose. Though I do miss rowing my own gears...sometimes.

Yes, it is exactly what I meant, that's why I didn't specify any particular auto company. When the nav/radio/ac display died in my out of warranty Escalade, GM wanted $4 grand to replace the unit. F that! I replaced it myself with a refurb for under a G note.

I am grinning year to year. Fact is that I just peeked into the garage. My wife is also thrilled that I went back to the Z. Compared to the corvettes, mustangs, camaros and even the Genesis coupe, the Z is more exclusive and in the red it's way more eye catching than the gun metal one I had before.
