1. when accelerating kind of hard to 4k rpm my "BREAK" light comes on and goes off. ( i read to top off my break fluid and when i checked its on max)

2. when breaking at high or low speeds my steering wheel vibrates very hard

3. when i accelerate semi hard ( not to bad) my 2nd traction light comes on an stays on until i turn the car off every time.

For Item 2 you might have a bad alignment and/or warped rotors.

I'm hoping it's the alignment I have never breakers hard in this car so I'm confused to why this is happening . Started at around 7k miles

Don't know about 1 & 3 but I resurfaced my rotors at 13k miles, so I don't think #2 is strange. By the way, it only shook a little when braking at highway speeds but I wasn't going to let it get any worse and my pads were fine.

What are your tire sizes on front, compared to the rear's?

marty31 07-20-2016 08:10 AM

Are you taking it into the dealer as it's only got 7K on it?

MacCool 07-20-2016 08:43 AM

Do brake rotors actually warp?

if you got your rotors good and hot and then hit a puddle of water it could warp the rotors.

^^yup.

haven't had the problem on my Z but have had it on other cars. Had an old K car way back when that would warp the rotors every 10k....was annoying

I have 245 in the front and 285 in the rear re-11s but the problem was occurring when I still had my stock tires on.

You don't have many mods...

1 and 3 are low brake fluid, make sure it's at the top line.

2, you need new rotors most likely, could be a glazed rotor, but let the dealer figure it out, although they'll 100% say you need to resurface your rotors, or need new ones.

How this thread went this long, I have no idea
