Can you kill the seat belt warning chime?
 

My Honda has an annoying seat belt chime that you cannot shut off. Most of my past vehicles had a trick to disable the belt chime, anybody know about the Z?

**Note this is not an invitation to tell me to wear my seat belt. I always do. I live on a 1/2 mile private drive and after I get my mail I do not put it back on. So save the drama for yo mama.**

Click it in and un click it after 5 seconds?? Works in my fiances '07 Saturn Vue

Like I said most cars I've owned have some way to disable it, was curious about the Z though.

Even though always wear my seatbelts, but my current 350Z doestnt have the annoying warning beep. I hope the new Z is the same.

It just happens to work in my VUE as well

Many cars carry over the same trick. How do you disable it in the 350?

my altima just shows the seatbelt light. no chime thank god

Thanks God! My 07 Civic will even chirp if I take my belt off in a drive thru when I go to reach for my wallet...Too annoying.

I could not believe the 370z does not chime, had to just try it for a few moments for educational purposes. Felt liberated almost!

yea i was surprised that the 370z doesn't have any sound for not wearing one. felt kind of weird :/

That's 1 thing I like about Nissan, their cars don't have annoying beep for seatbelt.

I assumed it was an fdot legal requirement. Obviously not.

Funny stuff in this old thread.............I hope people do wear their seat belts though. Even a short distance can be a killer, just some people just don't get it and never will.

While reading the begging of this thread I was thinking my car does not chime. I wonder how I turned it off.??? Then I read on. Oh it does not chime. Cool beans. :tup:
