I understand where you are coming from. Ford is doing more for the Mustang than Nissan is doing with the 370Z. I'm also looking to trade in for a Mustang. How much I like the look of the Z compare to the Stang, the power and innovation is totally on Ford's side.

Those GT350s are blowing engines, frequently it seems, and won't even let you rev them to redline more than a few times before they force limp mode.

Mods don't translate well into resale value. Have been through that over and over again with cars and trucks over the years. Parting out the mods and returning to stock will probably net you more $, at the expense of your time, and if you have to pay someone to un-install everything, factor that in too.
