Does the Z have enough space?

Quick question can you fit 4 wheels with tires on them in the Z?? Has anyone tried?

Pretty sure its been done putting some on the passenger seat as well but I wouldn't do it in mine..

AaronB 05-19-2016 10:26 AM

I haven't tried but I'm going to go with 0 chance.

B&W_Evader 05-19-2016 10:27 AM

Get the trailer hitch and then it's no problem. Guy on here somewhere sells one that goes on the rear fog lamp hole.

You can fit 2 in the trunk for sure like the rear sized ones I fit 2 of 270/40 ZR19 in the trunk I imagine you could fit 1 more in the front maybe 2 but I think that's pushing it... Or tie the extra one to the roof. You'll have to struggle a little and work with it. The smaller your tire the better. That's the biggest size tire I've fit in there so you can go based on that :).

Dirk McGurck 05-19-2016 10:33 AM

Depends on size

Again I already tried it believe me there's more hope than you think haha, just don't try fitting some off road monsters up in there but the Z tires should fit like sardines ;)

Blighter 05-19-2016 11:04 AM

I have gotten 4 tires in mine. two in back and two in front seat. idk if it would work with wheels in them.

JARblue 05-19-2016 11:08 AM

I've seen 4 sport package rims fit, and I've seen 4 tires for sport package rims fit. But I have never seen anyone fit 4 wheels with tires mounted.

axmea? 05-19-2016 11:20 AM

Hell no. Because it's bad for your interior. You can take your spare and bose out to see if it will fit better but again, bad for the interior if you ask me.

cigarclifford 05-19-2016 11:28 AM

Rent or borrow a friend's truck ;)

Thanks for the replies,
Yeah I wouldn't risk ruining my seats, but maybe have a friend come a long, just making sure if I don't need to make more space if the z could fit them

Raidernation 05-19-2016 02:53 PM

I would venture to guess and say no. I was barely able to fit a bag of golf clubs in the back and still close the back hatch.

fairlady_z34 05-20-2016 01:03 AM

i've tried with tires only and it does fit but driving with it was a pain is arse.2 in the front 2 in the rear and these were 19inch tires. i just put a crappy bed sheet to cover my seats so it wouldnt dirty it.

Z Runner 05-20-2016 01:28 AM

Think this should be nominated for question of the year!

I put my medium/large cart bag and my buddy's carry bag (ping hoofer something) in the hatch. All woods must be removed and laid on top but it will fit.

Edit - Google Image search.... Just like this.

2 duffle bags, 2 lawn chairs, a mini cooler behind my chair. 2 back packs, 1 string bag, 5 lb bag of gummy bears, 1 bag of random candies, 2 regular boxes of pop tarts, 1 limited edition box, 1×12paxk of coke, 3 bottles of brake fluid, front and rear set of brakes, quart of oil, tire pump, bottle of qd, 15 mf towels, 1 large uniqlo bag packed to the max, a bucket with 6 beers, bottle of hibiki a bottle of jonnie walker 750 ml, 3 sb state cups.

Plus 2 humans lol.

Come at me bro.

mishuko 05-25-2016 04:30 PM

But I had trouble fitting 2 265/35/19 tires. Had one in rear and 1 on passenger seat. Gl doing 4 mounted wheels. Gut the hatch and might be possible. Poor front seat tho

brancky3 05-25-2016 04:36 PM

How does anyone get two tires in the hatch?

I'm not sure you can without gutting the hatch. But here's 4 tires in the Z:

Hopefully the 5lb bag of gummy bears are not Haribo Sugar Free ones. If so you may need to add 30 more mf towels, baby wipes and a few buckets.

Why would you even do this to your car?

Larso1 05-26-2016 11:17 AM

I got a dog kennel cage, a walk-behind mower, and a garden cart in mine with room to spare.
Uh, we are talking about a Chevy Silverado Z71, right?

Ghostvette 05-26-2016 12:32 PM

Buy a Juke, Rogue or Murano for a tire/wheel hauler :stirthepot:
